I know each animal’s situation is unique and some live and sadly, some pass. But I witnessed a miracle two weeks ago when my daughter’s puppy looked exactly like that baby piggie. All of the vets in the clinic didn’t think he’d make it. (As it turned out, he had lapped up an accidentally dropped muscle relaxer pill.) He was touch and go for about 14 hours until he began making obvious signs of improvement. By the time he left the night time vet in the morning the next day, Teddy was 100% recovered and we were thanking God! It was one of the scariest things I’ve ever seen in a pet. I hope this little baby makes it. Thank you guys, for always making space for “just one more”.

It breaks my heart to think that there are people out in the world that would leave any type of animal out to die. Those people are heartless....I am praying for all the piggies that were rescued to do well and thrive in their new environment. To the man who brought them in, I wish him the best. It is through people like him that I remember there are still good out in the world. Thank you Saskia for everything you and your rescue do !!!!!!

I have mixed emotions on the fact that some people are so awful to helpless sweet loving little animals. But they guy who brought them to Saskia saved them. He is a good Samaritan, and when Saskia asked him to sign a surrender form I was afraid he was gonna change his mind fir a sec, but than he said yes. That is truly a good Samaritan who restores hope when others try to cause you to lose hope. I really do think you are influencing people far more than you know Mrs. Saskia. I really do hope when day a group of veterinarians will listen to you and Dr.Nenn. who has been working with you and learning from you and vise versa, and offering people affordable vet care and working with someone who has a ton of knowledge about guinea pigs. I really do hope you guys can one day accomplish tgat because we all know there are so many vets that really don't know enough about guinea pigs if some of them would not let their ego get in the way and be open to learning from you. Thank You for all you do, and Thank You to the good Samaritan whoever you are should you ever see these comments. You are Awesome.

Hello Saskia are you back from Colorado and how did it go? Also, do you ever or have you ever already spoken to a group of veterinarians? I wonder if Dr. Nenn, could ever sometimes speak to other vets about guinea pigs and her experience working with you. Maybe on day. I just read so many sad nightmare stories about people taking pigs to vets who don't know anything about treating guinea pigs. Maybe one day. Also a Big Thank You to they guy who dropped them off. I'm glad he filled out a surrender form, some people might have not wanted to. I'm glad he brought them to you and filled out the form.

Does anyone know how much it is to adopt one of their piggys?
@ITIsFunnyDamnIT3 жыл бұрын
It's 35 a pig, but you have to go to her website link should be in video description. You'll have to fill out a form and make an appointment I think that's how it's done for adoptions. If I'm wrong than hopefully the right person sees this and can give a better answer, but I do know you have to fill out a form. If there's not a link to her site in the description than just Google Los Angeles Guinea Pig Rescue and it will pull up her page and than you just click on adoption link for info on afoptions. Hope this helps.

They were left in the cages? Or that guy says” cages are mine but i don’t have guinea pugs” hm…. He also had hay just by accident to put in there. Very weird. May be it is him who left it here and made up a story
@sarahstardust3 жыл бұрын
They were left in the gray carrier and he pulled one out and put it in the cage because it was fighting the others. He said the cage was in his storage, so he must have had some kind of small pet in the past. Possibly he pulled some hay out of the carrier or had some for another purpose. Either way, I'm glad he brought them in to the rescue because it was the right thing to do.
@equestrianrosie3 жыл бұрын
I thought he said the cage was his but the rusty old carrier is what they were all in when he found them. separated the big troublemaker into an obviously old unused cage. for all we know he has rabbits or some other hay eating animal, or all that hay had been in the carrier when he found them. best not to assume the worst in someone who is actively seeking to help these poor babies.
@ITIsFunnyDamnIT3 жыл бұрын
Maybe he knew a few basic things go about guinea pigs because he knew other people who had them or had seen them before in pet stores where they mostly just give them hay and pellets. . Garbage men come across all kinds of stuff alongside the road. You'd be surprised some of the things and animals people dump off. I just rescued a snake bird the other day that had string tied very tightly around its beak. I got all the string cut off and it was able to open and close it's beak.. It's not hard to believe that people dumped off guinea pigs and he happened to find them since he is a garbage man for a living. That gentleman who brought her the guinea each pigs is a hero as far as I'm concerned. He's a good person who did that right thing and that restores my faith in humanity when I see good people do good things.

Anyone think it’s fishy that he “found them” next to the dumpster but then had another cage to separate them??? And never had guinea pigs of his own. Doesn’t add up to me
@CassandraSusan3 жыл бұрын
Makes sense to me. He said he had the extra cage in storage. And he was collecting trash when he found them beside the dumpster. A lot of trash collectors have things they find that are good in a garage or storage unit
@jordans2603 жыл бұрын
@@CassandraSusan yes in storage supposedly. But seems a little convenient that he “researched guinea pigs” so fast, went home and got this random cage he had in storage, separated them and put a plastic hidey in there, and then found this rescue. All within the day they were born
@KellyNsGrotto3 жыл бұрын
It was likely a small animal cage. He may have been given it, found it, may have had a bunny. I got a bunny who was dumped by a trash can and then left outside the post office. He was a sugar but had issues. He did live a couple of years though.
@sarahstardust3 жыл бұрын
Regardless of whether he made up the story or not, he still did the right thing by bringing them to the rescue. I'm inclined to believe him, though.
@sarahstardust3 жыл бұрын
@@jordans260 what day they were born is irrelevant. Moms could have been dumped while still pregnant and the stress of the situation caused them to go into labor.
