ive been listening to kpop since 2003 from 1st generation idols to now and of ALL the groups i've ever followed (i was a multi-stan in the 2nd-3rd gen years), seventeen is by far the group with the MOST amount of chemistry. they are the perfect amount of music and entertainment/comedy. their concerts are amazing 'cause their talent is limitless-- the fact that theres so much you can do with a 13 member group means we can never predict what theyre going to do next (it keeps things fresh and fun). for a group that is heading into their 10th year together, they never settle for complacency. the fact that they are the largest group (WITH members of OTHER nationalities too) to last THIS long without losing any members shows you just how close they really are. thank you for reacting and hope you continue to give them a chance and slip into the diamond life haha

19:28 Many explanations already about Wonwoo on this, so I won’t repeat. But he’s one of the rappers, so check out any song by the Hip Hop Unit to see more of him. Lalali is a good one. The MV or one of the live concert performances. Trauma is an older HHU song you can check out. He also has a duet with Mingyu called Bittersweet and one with Jeonghan called Last Night. Both of those also have MVs. And if you can find when the 96 line did Light a Flame, then that also has some good Wonwoo moments.

Joshua and Vernon were born in the US (LA and NY respectively). They are the English speakers for the group. Although, Vernon moved back to Korea when he was like 5 and feels more Korean. He even gave up his US citizenship

i’m glad you guys are listening to seventeen! they have so many amazing rappers and vocalists!! in the case of the guy with glasses, his name is Wonwoo and this was filmed not long after the passing of his mother :(. so though he chose to participate in the filming, majority of the song parts were chosen that didn’t involve his lines and you can sort of tell that his energy is a bit different from the others in this particular video (though he’s usually pretty calm in demeanor normally), but once you listen to more of their discography you’ll hear more of his rapping and vocals!!

The vocalist yall asked about is DK!(black hair black jacket) He’s one of svt’s main vocalist along with Seungkwan(blonde in blue blazer). By the way, SVT are most known for their dancing and choreography! Theyre called “self producing” idols because the members take part in producing, song writing, and choreographing on pretty much every single release! They debuted in 2015- so they’re a 3rd gen group same as BTS. They’re beloved in Korea and internationally. They have a show called “Going seventeen” that is so funny and entertaining that it actually has its own fanbase that doesn’t even follow seventeen as idols lol!

I've recently got into this group and I have to say that one of the BIGGEST draws for them is their group dynamic. They are entertaining and they are such good performers. They're known for their synchronization so it's kinda unfortunate that your introduction to them were videos that didn't highlight that as much but at least you were willing to give this a try. Thank you for being open minded to do that (cause that's how I found this video in the first place haha)

seventeen just won 5 awards at MAMA. 2 of them were daesangs artist of the year and album of the year. They are so loved and have come so far. They are a self producing group and produce almost 99% of their discography. Their producer is Woozi (16:21). They came from nothing and their company was facing bankruptcy and they saved their company all by themselves and the speeches they did were emotional. They have been around since 2015 so almost 10 years now and I really hope you check out more of them. I recommend Fear, Home;run, and super. Their main vocalist are DK (4:03) and Seungkwan (9:21) btw.

I’m really glad that y’all decided to give Seventeen a chance. THE BIGGEST APPEAL is their chemistry and and synchronicity. They’re always on the same wavelength. Though I’m a fan of Eyes on You, there are definitely much better tracks! They’ve got a great discography that ranges in genres. So you might not love everything, there is definitely something for everybody. They also have great sub unit songs as well. And to add to the already overwhelming amount of content, they’ve got great special clip videos/ performance videos / and dance practices. And finally, because there is A LOT OF INFO AND MEMBERS, there is a super long guide by Caratline17. Any Seventeen reactions will do for me! I see seventeen and I click!

KARD - Co ed group with heavy r&b/hip hop and Latin influences ENHYPEN - another HYBE group who have great tracks. Their newest album/repackaged album probably will give that R&B vibe

Seventeen is fire! Their chemistry shows more live, it’s probably what would get you to like them more. They’re are pure entertainment. As a fan myself, didn’t enjoy Love, Money, Fame as much as their other songs, I like it but… They have much better songs. 13:35 that is Woozi, the main producer of the group. 20:08 Joshua is actually from L.A. 23:26 Vernon was born in New York, grew up in Korea.

I'm not gonna lie, I stan a lot of kpop groups but this group is really the closest group ever. They are a genuine family with the closest bond ever. Bts is a family with their own position in their own sort of hierarchy. But Seventeen all are just as they said, "standing on one line together." They also purposely got rid of this hierarchy themselves during the beginning of their debut because the members themselves wanted to be closer to each other

The acrostic poems are the same as they are done in the US. If you start with the word. LOVE you make a poem using each letter of the word to start a sentence. It sounds like sounds to us because Korean words just sounds like sounds to us. Joshua who did the acrostic poem is from LA and the group would make him do these poems a lot when they were younger.

In all honesty, Seventeen doesn't have a genre - they have songs from all genre. I have heard some say that it's to their detriment; but Woozi who is their producer and the main writer & composer for the group has said he writes songs that go with the mood of the group. If they like the song, it gets produced. So their songs are mixed according to what they are interested in. Their last album was a moody one as they are going through transitions and it was really more of a wish fulfilling and reminiscent album that you have to KNOW Seventeen to understand why it got produced. Carats will love it because of the sentimentality behind it more than the songs. All that to say, if you love music, Seventeen has probably sang at least one or two songs for you. If you are eclectic like me, Seventeen will always be your go to since they have a song to suit every mood. And yes, their unit songs are great - my recommends from each unit: Vocal: Same dream, Same mind, Same night. Performance: Lilili Yabbay HHU: Anything, literally anything 😅😅😅 (Ah Yeah, Monster, Lalali, Trauma, Fire, Water, Sukyo - this is unreleased so only available on KZbin). I find it interesting that the songs you guys mentioned were kinda mid are the ones made specifically with English speaker / American music in mind.
