I feel weird talking about this but since I saw a lot of Carats leaving small stories and encouraging each other I figured I should do that too. I'm living with really bad cptsd (it's been about 6 years now) and because of that I'm unable to work, my parents spend their time looking down on me and calling me useless whenever they feel like it. Since everyone else is doing this, I finally have the courage to say my story too. My parents divorced when I was 9 years old and since I was young, I didn’t really think much about it. But then whenever it would be father’s day or smth at my elementary we made cards for our dads and i couldn’t give it to my dad since he lived all the way in San Francisco. I always thought that it was my fault for my parent’s divorce and I felt unhappy because I didn’t really grew up with my father. My mom is a big inspiration but she was always at work whenever I would return from school, always getting home at midnight. My brother was always in his room and never really gave me attention as a younger sister, more like a stranger. I found out about this song a few months ago and I immediately started crying. The fact that seventeen, one of my favorite groups helped me find ways to appreciate myself and told me to never give up. Thank you Seventeen, thank you.

battling with depression isn't easy :) i cried myself to sleep, everyday. i wanted to sleep forever and i kept wishing that I won't wake up again because i know that the next day will be the exact same. my life is a joke that I can't find the meaning of. I kept running away with tears and broken heart. As someone who has been dealing with suicidal thoughts for 10 years (and I'm only turning 18 this year) and also has a lot of anxiety and depression issues, this song makes me feel that even if the world is against me, I can still count on SVT to make me feel a little less shitty about myself. I don't know what we (Carats) have done to deserve such a brilliant group. I don't comment around much but I felt a lot of things to actually feel the need to write here. I had a tremendously bad day. A very very terrible day and yet i managed to keep the rocky emotions in. But when Jeonghan, in his honey dripping voice, sang "I'm having a hard time", I couldn't help but sob. I expected that I would be able to lean on someone, the people I trust and love. But I got no comfort even when I (metaphorically) stretched out my hand to ask for help. Instead I was scolded. I'm a new carat and I heard this song a little while back but it still pierces me as deeply each and every time I listen to it. The fact that Woozi wrote these lyrics and so warmly thought of us is nothing short of comfort. "You can be hugged by me, I am the same." I can feel the sincerity of these words and it does volumes to a person when they know their feelings are understood and that they aren't alone. The tender way in which all the members sang this song is just uGH. I have no words. I come back to read the lyrics to this song whenever I have a bad day and I always will. I think the part that got me the most is when dokyeom said ”you can be hugged by me, i am the same”. I think it really shines a light of what depression and sadness can do you which is make you feel like you alone, but in reality everyone is going through a tough time but we all just keep it to ourselves to seem strong. Normalizing being sad, crying, feeling tired, taking a break, will allow us to feel more comfortable talking about struggles and not bottle it inside all the time. I wanted to share my story. I've been suffering depression and anxiety for many years now. I've been battling this mental war inside my head alone. Once they take over me, I slowly lose interest on the things I love and the things I love to do. I start to begin isolating myself. I've attempted too many times but I still fought for it. During my entire childhood, I've grown in a controlled environment where everyone has set too many expectations of me. The pressure weighed down my system even more that I am the eldest with a broken family. The trauma and damaged impacted my whole life until I reached adulthood. My panic attacks ranged from 70-100. I slowly learned about Seventeen last year, this was the first song that I've actually heard from them. It brought me comfort when I am alone and I couldn't breathe. The magnitude of words they've brought into their songs were enough. I am truly thankful for them. I admit I am still suffering right now, it gets worst but there are days they aren't and it's always thanks to the boys. I hope they know how much they've helped and reminded me to live for tomorrow.

im depressed i was diagnosed with clinical depression at the early age of 12, when my brother overdosed. i never felt like I was good enough, never felt like i was enough, i always looked in the mirror and thought negatively. im really underweight it got to a point where i hated my body so much that i stared at the ceiling with my eyes shut tightly closed in front of a mirror just so i couldn't see myself, if i saw even a glimpse of my skin while i was having one of those breakdowns it would get twice as bad. i have many friends at school, i was even school captain, but i always feel lonely. all of my friends are loud and happy all the time, so am i, but at night (i sound spoilt) if i don't have a nintendo switch, my phone, or something to play with, i will cry for hours on end until i fall asleep. this has been happening for years, and i just found this song. nobody but my mum and sister know about my depression, my dad doesn't even know. so i feel like i'm always struggling by myself. it was july 2017 and i tried to hang myself from my ceiling fan while i was home alone, luckily my sister got home just in time and she got me down. when i found seventeen, they kinda saved my life in a way. this song feels like it was made for me, so when i feel sad or suicidal again, i listen to this and cry to this instead of hurting myself

You r precious..right? U deserve to be loved...even if no one sees the gud in u...just remember u r strong, u are also loved by many ppl. Even I was once like u..I wanted to end my life too. Cuz everything in life was so stressful. I just couldn't stand it. But my parents were there. They talked with me about it a lot..It made me realise that ending ur life will only end up hurting ur loves ones. Carats I love u all guys so much. Really. I really feel that the ones who r a Carat can really feel and sense true feelings and talent. And so ofcourse I know each one of u is amazing.. Sorry if this comment got a bit longer.. The lyrics “you’ve worked hard” really hits me hard be I try so hard for things and no one ever supports me or tells my that I’ve worked hard and this is the first time I’ve heard it so I started crying immediately, so when I’m down this song helps me cope
