hybe really has nothing to do with seventeen and their creativity in all honesty, they’ve always been the realest self produced group in like they’ve always made all their music, and are involved in everything else from choroes to filming and editing mvs to making merch etc, and woozi has specifically said he doesn’t follow trends and just makes music that he thinks suits seventeen in that moment, but I get where your coming from ! -note the tattoos is fake 😭 they all had fake ones for the tour 😭😭

SVT have always shown how versatile they are, even before Pledis became part of HYBE, Woozi always comments how he doesn’t follow trends, but rather makes music that feels right for the group, the choreo goes hand in hand when he is producing and composing the music with the rest of the members as they want everything to flow accordingly. Seventeen like other self producing groups in kpop are real gems, I feel they never seize to surprise us, we never know their next move, but so far they haven’t disappointed. 😄💕 Oh and forgot to add that this song like someone else explained before has been done years back, I guess it just wasn’t the right time to release it, till now.

Well svt or woozi doesn't need to follow trends. They are trend setters. Just like how Hoshi started eomdongi pang pang trend and now everyone is obsessed. I feel that everyone should be like this. Be your own person instead of following trend. And that'll bring the best out of you.

since SVT is the first and one and only self-producing idol group recognized in Korea, they have their creative freedom when it comes to producing/making their music or their performance as a whole.. ever since pre-debut, they didn't make any music based on what was currently trendy but instead focused on what they can tell or share to their fans (listeners) thru their songs.. even after they got acquired by hybe, their company still works independently when it comes to their music

@@funsizedchan9177 i think the difference between skz and svt self-producing is that seventeen self-produces everything. not just album production, they are involved always and if not, half of their ideas are contributed to whatever they release like fan merchandise, editing and filming music videos (holiday & snapshoot), ideas for their variety show (going seventeen), fanchant, concert setlist and even a self-produced magazine. I'm not much of a stay to say anything but this is what draws the line between them i guess. ^^

This may be just a theory but this song is prolly about their achievements and message to people who have looked SVT down before. Hybe doesn't technically have a hand in producing or writing with seventeen songs, it's rarely handled by them (by rare, I mean really rare.). They make the songs themselves starting with Woozi as the main producer along with Bumzu (their other producer since predebut). Most members also write parts and have a hand in composing.

HYBE have zero hand in their production. SVT have been labelled self-producing idols since they started (they only ended up under HYBE mid 2020 when HYBE was still just BigHit Ent.) and they always will be. The songs are mostly just produced by Woozi and their producer since predebut, Bumzu. There are others they work with called PRISMFILTER, and other members may also have a hand in production/composing too, like Vernon has often been credited and you can tell when hes touched a song. Its only been since really 2021 they've seemed to work with people outside of HYBE, but also people who have worked with HYBE artists for the most part, but other than Ready To Love (Bang PD had a hand in that song) HYBE have nothing to do with SVT's production or really anything. Pledis and SVT get to still operate how they always have, they just have more resources that are easier to use now thanks to being under HYBE, but thats about it. But I understand your point though! I dont remember if you reacted to Change Up but if you haven't you should! It's the other song by the leaders and its interesting to see how far they've come from Change Up to Cheers

Hybe actually has nothing to do with what seventeen releases, seventeen earned the title of self producing idols since debut, they have written and composed all of their songs and albums as well as their choreographies (along with many other things) since debut. They're under Hybe but Hybe actually has no say on what Seventeen does only Pledis has and Pledis just lets svt do whatever they want. Seventeen are THEE self producing idols, that's the title kmedia and the industry gave them since they're fully self producing in every aspect you can think of, they are involved in every creative process related to seventeen.

@@Andbit365 it’s simply a stylistic choice, on rap/hip hop focused tracks it’s makes sense that they’d pull out some auto tune, it makes sense for hot and now for cheers, and when they do another genre they won’t use it unless it makes sense for that song, woozi is an amazing producer, he knows what he’s doing
