@@stacyburningsky8613 Interesting, those were the two drummers that were most influential for me when I was learning to drum. I loved (and still love) their use of tom-toms.

Siouxsie broke her leg around this time, and that is why she sits throughout this performance. What a trooper. The song is superb.

Shit, man, she's some sort of ghostly freak. I was very young in the early 90's when i first heard their early albums. I was raised on 70's country music thru my father, and Mexican standards thru my mother. My little mind did not know to make of this music. And even now at this moment in 2022 i was drawn to this page because i simply heard Souixie suddenly singing to me, calling, "Take a walk with me, down by the sea." at first i thought the main riff was pretty creepy, i wasn't really paying attention on that first listen. after about 30 times picking up little details each time this might be on all levels the spookiest song i've ever heard in my life.

Siouxsies goal was LITERALLY to be creepy and sing about things no one else had or would. She has stated this in multiple interviews over the years.

Trips me out there are people out there who slag off John Valentine Carruthers. Sure, McGeoch was fantastic but this cat was definitely no slouch and is responsible for the lions share of the atmosphere on Tinderbox.

JVC was great, he just brought something different to the table. Klein wasn't bad either.

There is and only will ever be one Siouxsie, Madonna and Gaga are sad examples of "talent". Not saying Madonna was ever devoid of talent, she's just needed to retire for a long time.

A tremendous sound! It is so good, it just makes me wonder why Ben's like this, and echo & the Bunnymen are not in the Rock and roll Hall of Fame. Not that it really matters though anyway

i think it was 1985, could have been 1984, nearly got chucked out of art college for those "paintings" near lands end, old guard did not approve but inspiration comes before the medium or nothing happens at all..i kind of wish they had thrown me out...would have kept painting maybe..institutions dont work for art
