Often with no lye relaxers there is dryness over time. Have you found that to be the case with Affirm sensitive scalp?
@wellness2holisticliving4u2 жыл бұрын
The way you’re applying the relaxer on her, it looks like your client could have waited a few more weeks for more growth. You are right, this relaxer system is the best.
@sevenzenhair672 жыл бұрын
Hi, it was enough. Her hair curl was just really tight so the first time around I was doing my best to not overlap. When I go back around the head to smooth its easier because the hair has started relaxing.
@twitterblackdove Жыл бұрын
No, the stylist did right because to ask a newly relaxed client to stretch is asking for more trouble than to just let a professional take care of it. Check out Dominique "Style Domination" channel here on KZbin. She hit a wall with her hair growth until she started going in for retouching every 8 weeks, no exceptions. Stretching isn't for everyone.

Which is the better relaxer, Avlon Affirm or fiber guard? And is this a sodium hydroxide relaxer? I really enjoyed your video! It was very enlightening. I love bone straight, but did not realize the damage caused by losing the complete curl of the hair. Thank you.

Omgosh! I wish your client would have had a change of heart with those curls. They were absolutely gorgeous!!! You did a phenomenal job with her hair! I have a question. Do you put wrap foam on the hair before rolling or something else, like a leave in conditioner?
@sevenzenhair672 жыл бұрын
I find with these rollers I could only use foam if she’ll keep the curls otherwise it’s too heavy. It’s weird. It was just water because I knew she wanted it straight . I added heat protectant before the blow dry to relax the curl.

Hi thank you for your instructional video. I have a question ? I use mild relaxers is this a mild relaxer . I also was using Silk Element relaxer , but it did not take to my hair . I relax the roots in September when can I change my relaxer . Thank you for your response.

Hi. Have you ever worked with Influance? If so, how does it stack up to Affirm?

Maybe you said it and I missed it. But is this a lye or no lye relaxer?
@debrajohnson8120 Жыл бұрын
I think it's the sensitive scalp, which is the no lye relaxer. Normally, the scalp doesn't need to be based when using sensitive scalp. But she said she likes to use the base product.
@debrahjohnson12798 ай бұрын
I think the nape area should be last whe applying the relaxer. That is one of the instructions from Avlon Fiberguard. The reason for this is because the perimeter (the nape and edges) hair is less dense and processes faster.

Thank you for pointing that out. Makes a lot of sense.

That did not look relaxed, more like texlaxed. She had a lot of curl left in her hair. Does the relaxer not break down the girl anymore than what we saw?
@sevenzenhair679 ай бұрын
Yes it does. She didn't want it bone straight. She just wanted to take the edge off if that makes sense.
