Stop charging for regular economy seats. they're not premium just because they're on an exit row or by a window ...some planes don't even have a middle seat. Therefore all seats have a fee. You charge for exit rows. It's not about safety because you'll put anyone in those seats. Even elderly people just because they paid for it. And i've seen professional rescuers denied those seats just because they didn't pay. You don't care about safety. You only care about greed. Go to united on KZbin. This one is definitely not on Boeing. It can either be on United maintenance crew or it could be the on the manufacturer that provided United with the spare parts for the landing gear. Investigation will tell.

NBC Bay Area should be ashamed of themselves for going after ratings over public safety. This video starts with the "journalist" stating "More maintenance issues for United Airlines". First of all, none of this weeks incidents have been shown to be maintenance issues. Everything is being investigated. I can't say these were not maintenance issues, but I also can't say they were maintenance issues. I just retired from a 30 year career with a commercial airline here in the US, and the position I retired from was called a Senior Compliance Specialist. This position was a liaison between the FAA and the airline I worked for. I investigated incidents that happened with the airline, interviewed all personnel involved, and I then wrote my reports to be submitted to the FAA to include exactly what happened, and how we were going to make sure it didn't happen again. So I feel confident I can comment on what has happened this week with a much more objective eye than either the news media, or the keyboard warriors that you see commenting on these videos on KZbin. One United incident that I can tell you is not maintenance related was the aircraft that slid off of the runway in Houston yesterday. This was pilot error, as the pilot was taxiing too fast on the wet runway and skidded off into the mud. But I've seen multiple comments on how maintenance was at fault for that. As for the wheel assembly falling off and the hydraulic issue out of SFO, there are explanations that could rule out maintenance. 1. Aircraft have been damaged while taxiing or taking off by debris that was on the taxi way or runway. This could have happened with the wheel assembly that fell off. The aircraft could have run over something while taxiing or taking off. Again, this has happened, and if you want to see one of the more serious incidents, look up what happened to the Air France Concorde when taking off from Paris back in July of 2000. 2. Hydraulic issues with aircraft are very common. They happen every day with multiple aircraft. Many times a system reset, which can be accomplished by cycling the flight controls, or operating the landing gear or cargo doors, is all that is needed to get the aircraft back in service. But in order to do these checks, the pilots have to do exactly what they did when they diverted into LAX. Then maintenance performs the necessary checks to see of there is an actual fault, or if there is only the reset I mentioned needed. Believe me, I've seen cases where when you first hear what happened, you wonder how the heck it could have happened. Then, after the investigation is completed, you find out it was one of those "perfect storms", where everything lined up in a bad way and resulted in whatever the incident was. Sometimes there is Human Error, sometimes, there is Not Following Procedures, and sometimes machines actually break down.

I have a feeling that people are indirectly spreading misinformation about aviation and I am not judging them because it's easy to get confused if you don't know that much about aviation and what is happening around it. So I decided to clear some things up. here is a list of all United accidents these days: - wheel falls of B777 - B737 gets stuck in grass while taxiing - A320 hydraulic issues - B737 engine fire First of all I would like to leave the 'B737 getting stuck in the grass accident' away because it's a pilot error and it wasn't that dangerous. Right now we end up with 3 situations... - wheel falls of B777 - A320 hydraulic issues - B737 engine fire We see that a Boeing is involved in 2 out of the 3 accidents. One of the Boeing accidents was the wheel falling of the B777. This has nothing to do with the Boeing build quality because those wheels get changed on a regular basis. So it was A the fault of the ground crew or B bad luck and a material failure. The other Boeing accident was an engine fire featuring the B737. Engine fires/stalls/failures are things that will someday and somewhere happen on an airplane. There can be a plenty of reasons like a bird strike, some garbage getting sucked in and so on. Most of these accidents are handled perfectly fine. Then we have one Airbus accident left. The A320 had an hydraulic issue so the pilots got a message on the ECAM (monitoring system of the aircraft). The pilots decided to divert which is a right decision. In the end no one was injured. The conclusion: None of these accidents is really related to each other. The only thing uniting them is that those were United's planes. Airplanes can "breakdown" and get some issues just like cars but because they don't happen that often the news really likes to make a sensation of it. Just keep in mind that there are around 10k planes in the sky at any time and if you check Flightradar24 then you will be able to spot an "accident" or more like a Squawk 7700 everyday. As someone who knows something about aviation I can tell you that there are a bunch of accidents and emergencies each day. From a bird strike to a medical emergency, from an hydraulic issue to a wheel exploding on landing. But most of them don't even reach the news, If you want a more dry and reliable source then pls feel free to visit simpleflying or other aviation websites which will give you a more clear picture of what is happening. If I made a mistake or forgot to mention something then pls comment. 👍

LOL! Oh, I can tell you that Delta has had its issues. Delta pilots damaged two aircraft in the past year. Delta Airbus A321 NEO had landing gear problems and were almost unable to extend the gear. It’s aviation and machines so no one is immune.
