I have a 60 frogeye that I repainted with acrylic lacquer Cadillac Inverness green in 1966. paint still looks good in 2021 after good care ;)

A very good video covering all of the salient differences. The newer radiator ducting was to improve the cooling that's why it was common practice to remove every other grill slat in period to overcome this problem. I have to disagree with you however about the colour, it looks a perfect match to me. I have a 1958 Sprite that I've had for nearly 60 years and the bits that haven't been repainted are exactly that shade of green. BMC just called it "dark green", it was only available on those earlier cars.

Those windshield top snaps are so cool. In 1967 driving at night from Tulsa to Stillwater Oklahoma in a thunderstorm a semi coming from the opposite direction blew the top off my '59 Bugeye and drenched my girlfriend and I. We were young enough to laugh like hell once we realized we hadn't been in a wreck.
