Greed for money by local political leaders/officials in running coal syndicates amounting to crores of rupees per season also the commissions/shares reaching some top party functionaries at state level (Dispur), without any concern for there are no safety measures, and the mining done with no proper process, unscientific and unplanned, this has been going on for a long time, not caring for the issue of Environment, Health and Tribal Ancestral Lands and local sentiments.
