If you remember, a guy there said that Ms Casey told him that his outtie enjoys star-gazing. This might be a clue that this man is/was homeless in his outtie version and used to sleep under the night sky.

The staff at Mammalians Nurturable are people implanted with chips from the goats. Why else would Ms. Casey give a session in a husbandry tank? It's not very large. These are people who were formerly dead or in comas. Goats are the sacrifice for new life, it's blood fertilizing the land for prosperity, growth, etc in many pagan cultures. The goat chip is a base that Lumon is building upon, working on bringing back the original host's memories, hence having Ms. Casey and Mark having sessions and Mark working on Cold Harbor. She is probably operating off of a very base goat personality right now and Mark is "refining" her personality with his work in MDR.

I’ve begun to wonder if there was a one goat wrangler to one goat ratio. Maybe a neural link for testing.

If Helena is taking the place of Helly, she was genuinely surprised by this room, it wasn’t what even she expected

Eh I don’t buy a lot of this. It’s too heavy on speculation and ignores obvious other choices if what you’re saying about their motivations is correct. There are a ton of more intelligent and emotionally attuned animals that would be much easier to get and manage. Dogs or rats are the obvious choice if the qualities you mentioned were important to Lumon. And if they wanted “the closest to humans that they could have gotten without actually getting humans”, then they would have gone with primates, not goats. If the goats are being used as test subjects, it’s for reasons other than what you mentioned. Also, they’re not different departments. The goat guy in season 1 was with all the goat people in season 2.

I just think they're used for animal testing. In the original script for the pilot it was rats, with chips in them. Goats are cuter.

I kind of think that the goats are just milk and food that’s provided to feed the severed people who never leave Lumon. Simple as that.

i don’t think the show would make it that simple, it would be quite the letdown to the audience. plus why would the guy from season 1 feeding the babies say “you can’t take them, they’re not ready”?

One thing I realised is that Ms Casey told Mark S. That she's only lived for a couple hours during her wellness sessions for MDR and following Helly R on that day. But then the goat people said they give her wellness sessions? Could there be multiple Casey's or they erase her memory?

The goat people are victims of a bad severance procedure.
@L2PlayRunescape13 сағат бұрын
There could be a simpler explanation. Like, there's people that live at Lumon apparently. Maybe they eat goat meat and drink goat milk. Sort of, house-grown food. Like, on Petey's map he drew houses and wrote 'people live here'. One might ask, well why not cows then? Well, they are living in a world slightly different from ours. Maybe cows aren't readily available in their world. Just another theory.
@mattgilbert7347Сағат бұрын
I figure they're like lab animals. Goats instead of rats. Idk about "minds inside them" that doesn't make any sense. I figure that they have chips in them, and that Lumon use them to test various procedures, like causing pain or pleasure. You have to understand this show is a satire of *our world* - it's not about finding even more weird and wacky high concepts. They already have the concept that drives the show; severance chips.

Another explanation circulating the web is that the goats' minds or consciousness have been transferred into humans! This would explain their peculiar behavior-such as all gathering when they hear the bell and displaying almost childlike rhetoric.
@joeshar.23 сағат бұрын

Off subject, but I notice something Rayfield episode 3. If you watch with closed caption, the parking lot scene with Harmony and Halaena. When Helaena talks, it actually says [Helly] before she talks! Don't know if it means anything, or how that would even work! Thought it was weird tho!

@TheMicrolearningChannel22 сағат бұрын
I think they're in the cloning business. These people may be property of Lumon/clones. 2 questions I have that I haven't seen addressed in reviews yet: 1. When they ask if they "have pouches"/to see their bellies - maybe these people do have them? Maybe it's Lumon lore to keep the depts separated 2. Why did that woman say "Don't punish the baby" - like wtf was that about (which isn't the topic of this video but I'm so curious)

Or, or, maybe Limon serves a lot of curried goat for lunch to the other workers up top that are not severed 🤷🏽♂️😂 But I think u have a point with the workers in that department being homeless or maybe even prisoners. Some of them look like they were in their severed state for days without end. If they were regular citizens I wonder how lemon would explain them smelling like goats when they leave the severed floor each day 🤔 And based on the set up of that room (where the hell did so many workers come from? The room did not seem that big) I think the scenes we see in the trailers for future episode where they seem to be outside and somewhere cold, I think they mite just be on another floor of lumen
