Severe Autism - Josephine's 21st Birthday Party!

Yes JoJo turns 21! And with all this social distancing stuff Mama arranged another drive by Birthday just like she did for Michelle!
The entire week was really lousy weather but it was a picture perfect day for Josephine's Birthday! We could not have asked for a better day!
Oh yes - someone brought her first bottle of champagne! LOL!

Happy Birthday, Josephine!!! I'm from Brazil and my 7 years old little sister has severe autism. She has been going to an occupational therapist, speech therapist and psychologist every day for a few years. But she still can't speak a word. It's so hard to my parents and I sometimes, but she's special and I love her so much. I'm very concerned about the possibility of her not being able to speak for the rest of her life, could you answer me a question? How old were your daughters when they beginning to speak? You are amazing parents. Congratulations!

Hi there! I think you may all be surprised one day! Josephine and Michelle speak but not clearly - once in a while it is difficult to understand them. But I DO think someday your Baby will speak! Be patient keep trying but don't stress her too nuch she will need time until SHE is ready! God Bless You ALL!

You are a really amazing dad! I have a 13 year old brother with autism. His public meltdowns are becoming worse than before maybe due to puberty. How did you deal with your girls during puberty? Were they harder to manage?

When it comes to Michelle she is now 20 and is having issues with puberty - she seems to be not fully developed. We think a lot of her meltdowns may be hormone related which is probably caused by the onset of puberty. Its no joke! We use canabis gummies and vitamin B6 which helped a lot.
