(Severe storm) Plane spotting before and during crazy thunderstorm! Richmond International Airport

This is the full plane spotting video before the crazy storm that hit Richmond on Monday. It was all sunny and nice at first and then all chaos erupted. Strong winds, heavy rains, and crazy lighting hit Richmond International Airport. Before the storm hit Richmond, it was causing chaos up north causing several flights to divert to Richmond! I happen to catch them diverting before taking back off to their planned destination! I was able to get cool shots throughout the day! Including lighting shots! Enjoy!!

Wow! All those diversions! Just think if all of those flights were normal for RIC! One day…. Oh, and awesome shots of the lightening! The perspective from the last few flights were outstanding! Great work!

I live in a path where the flights often landing at the airport fly over my house! I live about 30 minutes from the airport. So they are still pretty high, but low enough to where I can tell which airline they are!

RIC has a big sign inside the terminal. It says, "You can't get there from here!"
