Happy to hear this story had a happy ending! Fresh snow + high winds = dangerous conditions in the mountains. Would be curious to hear his perspective on how this played out. I’m sure his story could really serve as a teachable moment on preparedness for winter hikers!

that trail is extremely steep and in the snow very hard to navigate in some spots
