It’s very difficult to have a favourite diesel loco but I am very partial to class 33’s and D6515 was in beautiful condition .

Shame you have that opinion! For many of us, most of these engines were the first generation of diesels produced after the end of steam. And they are iconic and well loved! I myself appreciate steam engines, but wouldn't belittle them as they too are iconic and well loved too. Try and be a bit more broad minded as the world is big enough to accommodate everyone's likes...
