I sit here and read everyones views on Sevin: How many of you have ever been homeless, addiction issues of every kind at still come out being alive mentally forget physically... Bonabellfilms Abba Bless you! We believers really need to be careful as to how we interpret and share the Scriptures. I don't think implying that Asha may never have had a relationship with Christ is for any of us to say although I appreciate your comment about not letting others deter us! The Father says in Jeremiah 17:10 that He "searches the heart and tries the reigns" so only He can speak accurately of the relationship between Himself and those that are His. Not attending "church" is not a reason for someone to be perceived as not relating to Christ or other Christians. What can be said of private prayer time then? What can be said of the Scripture that says in Matthew 6:6 to go into our inner room, close the door and pray to our Father Who is in secret? If Asha takes time to do this, I would think that she is developing a relationship with Christ even if she chooses not to attend a "church." Truly, the word "church" refers to the called out ones which is us, the believers. Sadly, there are many (not all) "church leaders" and "churches" that are turning from the faith and those that perform while their hearts are far from the Father & His Son. If you're referring to Hebrews 10:24-25 about the fellowship of the saints, then I understand where you're coming from, but we need to read that more carefully. This pertains to stimulating one another to good deeds and encouraging one another rather than 1 man or woman standing in front of a seated audience and preaching/teaching which is not the definition of fellowship. Maybe saints fellowship before and after the sermon, but we can't label that experience as fellowship alone. Certainly, preaching/teaching can be very edifying, but it eliminates the true meaning of fellowship where all speak, encourage and share with each other which is how the early saints began - in the homes of fellow-believers. I'm certainly not discounting the church experience, I'm simply encouraging us all to read the Scriptures with the Spirit's guidance rather than merely following after tradition. I pray these words help - this is not at all intended to hurt or dispute anyone - this comes from love. Bless you all!

But what we must understand is that it is important for us to have a fellowship of people with whom we share, we are taught and grow. Jesus had a custom of going into the synagogue and reading the scriptures. The bible encourages teachers and other gifts. Yes...it is scriptural for someone to teach and for others to follow. Jesus taught us that and he sent us to go make disciples. And what I encourage my sister to understand is...we are not perfect. I know I am not. But no one is an Island and certainly not in the body of Christ. MATT: 6 is focused about private fellowshipping with Jesus. That verse doesn't apply to what I was saying. Personally, and I repeat personally, I believe that people who have an issue being in a church or an assembly, do have issues with their ego and with submission. What is wrong with sitting and just be taught. I want to because I do not know everything.

Lorenzo Covarrubias Well look at his following for 1. This man has been spreading Gospel for so long, performing at churches and reaching younger crowds like myself. I didn't think I could become a Christian Artist, I thought I was to imperfect, too worldly and not worth it in Gods eyes. This man made me realize that there was more to it than just that, and that in fact I was worth it and so by becoming a Gospel related rapper I could do good just as Sevin is doing. He has listeners, and chooses to speak about God rather than what the secular artist raps about, I think that is saving a life with each song.
