As a teacher, I strive to reach all of my kids in whatever way they will learn. Sometimes it takes multiple ways to do that. My first time seeing this bag construction, though others have said it is an older method. I like: 1) that it is self-bound--a simple way to finish off a fabric that frays (like denim) without adding thick binding; 2) that there is no bottom seam to clutter the inside; and 3) that the boxed corners are unique, not just squared off. To me, complexity implies skill and challenge. Sewing is not always about less time = more money. Great job! Glad I found your channel!

You should learn better ways of making a bag. As others have mentioned this is not the easiest way and you folded the flap on outside not even trimming it. You should trim the seam so it’s not so bulky on the inside. Your way reminds me of my mom who used to make a little bag 40 years ago, very outdated… Try learning better ways there are many tutorials even in here.
