You are AWESOME! I was trying to find a tutorial to make a zippered heating pad cover and couldn't find one. Decided to look into zipper pillow case tutorials instead and here you were. It's really nice to watch a tutorial that gets straight to the point. Thanks for a great tutorial!

Great tutorial...very easy to follow! I used this to make covers for my dog's bed. A standard bed pillow fits perfectly in the small size (18"x24") dog crates, so I was able to make a couple zippered cases to use depending on the weather...cotton for summer...fleece for winter. Thanks for the simple step by step zipper install.

It is astonishing that there are so many different ways people do this. followed a video that sewed over the zipper teeth and broke my needle. This video says not to sew over the teeth. I liked sewing a box around the zipper, but not breaking the needle. Today I sewed over another zipper and manually feed the needle across the teeth without it breaking. Why do some say sew over the zipper while others say don't? And why do some leave 2" on each side of the zipper vs taking it all the way to the edges? Is all of this just personal preference?
@SewingPartsOnline Жыл бұрын
There are many different ways to install a zipper; however, when it comes to sewing over a zipper, you need to be careful. If it's nylon, you can sew over it. Just take it slow. Make sure that you don't ever sew over a metal zipper. That will cause a bad day. :)

The fiber fill inside a bedroom pillow is the same as decorator pillow?
@SewingPartsOnline9 жыл бұрын
Gay Ann Williams Hi! You can definitely use fiber fill for a bedroom pillow. However, bedroom pillows come with a ton of different kind of fillings. Some are high loft, low loft, feather, and even foam.

Hi! I recommend a 22-inch zipper to give yourself some wiggle room.

Young lady I enjoyed the zippered pillowcase. I would like to learn on how to make Floor Pillows. The nice firm ones and what to fill them with. So they keep there shape even after use. Have a nice weekend.
@SewingPartsOnline10 жыл бұрын
HI Ms. Linda! Thank you for watching! For floor pillows, you'll want to use the thick green foam. It's usually located around the home decor section.

Hi I was sad to find out you don't have any of your feet for my brother innovis1500-D At least I could not find any. It's a combo sewing and embroidery machine. Please let me know if you do carry feet for my machine. I might have missed something. Thank you.
@SewingPartsOnline10 жыл бұрын
Hi! I am so sorry it's confusing. Yes, we have a ton of feet for your innovis machine. It you go to our presser feet page (lower right hand side of home page) and then click on 'brother feet' - then group A. We abbreviated innovis 1500D to NV1500D. I'll work on getting that fixed. If there a specific foot you are looking for?
