Interesting that you sew with the concave piece on top. With the Quick Curve Ruler patterns, you are instructed to sew the curves together with the concave curve always on the bottom so that is what I am used to doing and it works very well for me. I have a clamshell ruler but haven't started my spin quilt yet. I will try both ways -- with the concave curve on the top and on the bottom-- and see which works the best for me. I have made several quilts with the Quick Curve Ruler patterns and find that curves are really easy to do once you get going on them.

How do you determine which colors to use so that you get matching colors in each pinwheel.?
@6quilter47 жыл бұрын
This is where a design wall becomes a great tool. It takes time to plot out the colors - just like following the pattern diagrams. I'm sorry to say there isn't a trick or method to create a shortcut. Happy Quilting

what is the name of the sawing machine your using would like to buy one for my sister. thanks

The machine I use in the videos is a Babylock - Crescendo. There are many great machines out there. Find a reputable dealer in your area and find the machine that fits your needs.

I am following your instructions but my blocks are coming out wonky. What am I doing wrong?
@moniqueatkinson12277 жыл бұрын
One pin at beg and end didn't work well for me. Several pins along the way and now the block sits flatter than it did.

No not really coming out the way they should. I will get it finished but it will be the last one I make.

Distortion is normal - have you used Best Press - spray starch? when your blocks are finished - lightly mist them and the fibers will relax and your block will be flatter. You don't have the advantage of seeing mine blocks before the video was made. They weren't perfect either - breathe - quilting is supposed to be fun. Your project will be lovely and uniquely yours. Thanks for watching
