Your butterflies are beautiful 🤩 . I made a Mariner's Compass quilt for my husband. It was very difficult and the pattern was wrong and I had to fix the pattern . It took me forever to make . It cost me a lot because I had it quilted and I had to buy 2 sets of rulers and pattern books. But it was beautiful when it was done . My husband loved it. I hope you feel better soon 😊🥰🙏

Wow so ya you know then how it was for me. It's weird that the book people never went through and fixed the patterns before publication. But hey not everyone is perfect and we made it work. I'm glad your husband loves his quilt!

Tiffany, what is you absolute favorite and unfavorite part of quilting? Piecing, choosing fabrics, choosing design, binding, sandwiching, or long arm quilting? Im just learning to quilt by watching yourubers like you. Ive bought every tool and machine everyone has. But, I enjoy watching the videos more than i like actually doing it. Im just so scared to mess up... 😊

I love all parts from picking fabric and planning the pattern. I love to piece cause it's relaxing I also love cutting cause it's fun and I love to quilt it's peaceful to me. I also like to bind cause it's the final step before the beautiful quilt is done 😊. I think you just need to start working on stuff and find your fun, relaxing and peaceful feelings with your projects. I enjoy watching videos as well. But I limit my video watching to the times I am not working on something. Sometimes I work on stuff and just listen to the videos in the background 😊

If you’re getting a new iron; you might want to look at the cordless Panasonic. It is really nice. I’ve noticed a lot of the quilters on KZbin are using it.

I have one 😊 my hubs always uses the one we were using. But I use my cordless when I am doing my things when not on live.

I agree that adding the sashing fabric that matches the border fabric really adds to the quilt. It is so pretty. Love it.

If you get a new iron, try to use distilled water or use water pitcher that has a filter to filter out water impurities that can stain fabrics.

I have a few irons. This one is the only one that spits. Scott loves it cause it gets hot fast and is light. So it's the one he grabs. I personally like my Panasonic cordless and my Relaiable they both work great but he refuses to use cause one has to re heat up and the other is a heavy iron. I just need to clean this one real good so he can keep using it 😆 🤣 😂

This quilt turned out very pretty! Great job when feeling sick. I don't know if you oil your bobbin hook regularly or not but juki junkies suggest to put a drop of oil in there after each bobbin change. I noticed a big difference when i learned this not long ago. I got a bobbin tangle for my first time just afew weeks ago. Give it a try or watch their video on bobbins for that info. I want you to keep this new juki for a very long time to come . Ok feel better soon!💕

I oil the hook. The tangles are from the wind and always at the very last foot of bobbin thread. On my LA it happens mid bobbin sometimes. But that hoot gets oiled every 3 bobbins (or else my quilts get oil on them). But it's just the thread that tangles in this case 😊

Hope you feel better soon😢 I never go out of the house either but my husband runs the errands and he brought home Covid to us and pretty much every cold I have gotten the past 10 yrs. Now before you tell Scotty it's his fault you're sick it takes up to 10 days to feel symptoms after exposure to the bug. If you were out this past week or so u probably picked it up somewhere you went. Tell Scotty he's welcome lol😂 🌺a flower for you😊

Honestly there was no hard part. It's just paying attention to where the piece should go and the direction something gets sewn in. And making sure you know what colors should go in what spot so that each butterfly has good contrast 😊
