Im answering really late about Bodkin. You can do opoosite way..not thread elastic through...pull through. Find a thin but stable wire. Cut a long piece. Bend end in a loop. Make sure end is tucked in or looped once and a half around not to catch matrrial. Or cut wire long enough to douboe in half whatever your projects casing lengths are. Push wire all the way through casing. Ive used a safety pin to attach elastic but sometimes find worth it to slip stitch elsstip to the loop. Pull through. I worked out wire method making many versikns of masks during covid!

You could try a tapestry needle for threading thin elastic through tiny hems

Hi I use something called a. hemostat for turning out my Luna rabbits as they are fiddly. On Amazon about£5 looks like a pair of scissors but they lock at the tips so it holds onto your fabric you pull it through then unlock them. Hope that makes sense😅

Love a sew along, the blouse is gorgeous ❤ Have you tried a darning needle with a large eye and blunt point to thread the elastic? I think it would be the type of needle used for sewing up hand knitted garments. Might work 😊
