Got this pattern 6mos ago and I'm a full beginner. Never used a premade pattern before. I just began cutting the pattern out. I'm scarexcited. Lol

It's really cool that you chose to be real and leave your skin alone instead of covering it up. Unfortunately I know exactly how you feel about this, I had severe acne as a teen. I didn't feel too self conscious about it but got soooooo many comments 🙁 And it also came back when I was pregnant the first time around (currently pregnant with baby #2 but the acne hasn't been very bad). I simplified my skin routine and use jojoba oil to clean my skin in the evening, it's incredible how much the inflammation reduces when you stop trying to dry it out or use aggressive creams and so on. Anyway, congratulations!!! I'm really looking forward to a bit of baby sewing 😉

Thanks so much lovely! I foudn that the past few days I stopped using so much now washing my face with plain water in the morning and cerave in the evening and only putting benzoyl peroxide on tiny breakout areas once a day if needed and noticed a huge difference!! I've heard good things about jojoba oil I'll have to have a look! Congrats on baby no.2 xxx

Such a lovely sewalong very helpful, l have just got the pdf pattern for the square neck top and my daughter is going to print it for me. You are such a lovely person l can tell and feel so sorry you are having the outbreaks on your skin but it literally is superficial and It’s what is inside that matters. Tip: Don't backstitch the point of dart. Just leave long enough threads to tie off.

I’ve always preferred back stitching to tie off and never had an issue xx
