When you were worried about sewing through all those layers I kept thinking "get that Kenmore 12 off the shelf!" That's the machine I use and she's a workhorse! I am SO looking forward to that cutout dress pattern!

Yes you can do it! You will get better! I am so slow at sewing when I learn a new garment, but when I know what I am doing, I can zip things up, it just takes time, and every time you do it it just solidifies and bolsters your confidence at what you can do and then you can push yourself, like I did here! Its so satisfying! Best of luck! You got this!

Aww thank you Dara! I got most of this from fabric shops. But more recently I am getting all my fabric from Blackbird fabrics (thats the corduroy you see) and my local Fabricland, otherwise it would be Queen street west in Toronto as I used to. Actually the first dress is a liberty print they were selling at Leather and Sewing Supply in the Queen West Toronto area, I order supplies from them online a lot too.
