This is so lovely!! 1930s is my favorite era! I believe I got a reprint of this pattern on Etsy from Lady Marlowe Patterns. Well done!

It was a game changer for my when I discovered it. One day I'll have to show off my wedding dress that I made back in the day - the mock french seam gave it a beautiful finish.

I'm currently making this pattern, and this is a pretty spot-on pattern draft.

What a lovely wrap slip! I am tempted to try and make one myself! And thanks for explaining the faux French seam! Have never come across that - very useful

You are so welcome! And the faux french seam is so useful, well worth adding to your arsenal. I think I finished my wedding dress almost exclusively with faux french seams.

I really like how you detailed the seam finishing. I do prefer neat look seam without using overlocker . I am learning the French seam and the flat fell seam now with coton fabric. Good luck sewing.

So glad you're on this journey too! I've surprised myself by actually enjoying finding other ways to finish seams!

Love this! and it could also make a lovely summer dress. could make a more substantial strap if desired for that purpose.

Completely! I’d probably cut the back a little higher too, to cover the bra strap.
