Sewing A Heart Rope Basket Using Dollar Tree Rope

In this video I show you exactly how you form Dollar Tree rope to make a heart and to sew that into a basket. I am using a wide zigzag stitch on my machine. My Heavy Duty Singer Sewing Machine has no problem going through the rope. I will leave a link to this machine. If you need a machine that will give you no problem, this is your machine. Can you turn this rope into potholders? I’m not sure what material the rope is, but the flat hearts would make cute as potholders too. I’m fairly new to sewing and still learning which materials are best for specific jobs. I know I’m using thread that’s safe from melting already. Lively bowls! Thanks for sharing!

I actually did order online - the picture I ordered from showed red, yellow and a greenish color so I was excited to be able to order them. Instead of those colors, they sent me the colors they are presently carrying - pink with green in it, black and white and a blue with red in it. They don’t guarantee colors so my only option is to return it if I decide to do that. Oh well, lesson learned!!🙁 Thanks again for your videos and taking the time to respond and trying to help!

Personally, I wish you would add some measurements. How big is your Base before you lift for the sides? How tall are your sides? The photos & videos can be so deceptive...
