Oh man. Great to hear from you Daniel. Your comment is exactly my goal with these videos. Its almost for the version of myself 8 years ago that just wishes someone would show these steps to shortcut those frustrating months / years not knowing who to ask for help. Bill, am interested to see how you do the rear rise with a single needle machine and as well the old school method of attaching the waistband with a single needle, not using a waistband machine! Love seeing peoples takes on these two.

Hey David. Thats a great idea. In that case, I will do a video showing how to fell by hand and with a Union Special 35800. Regarding the waistband, I will do a video showing the by hand version (which I painfully did for 5 years before I got a Singer 302) and a one piece folder as well as a two piece curved waistband folder. Seriously thankful for your input.

You hooked me up man! So pumped! It would be cool to see your pattern process or even hear what it was like for you to even begin figuring out how or where to start when it comes to making jeans! There isn't a whole lot on the internet for how to pattern denim jeans or what standards there are when it comes to denim jeans! Super interested to learn how you got to where you are and how you became an expert on jeans! Did you just rip apart enough to figure it out, find a mentor who took you under their wing, etc?? Im love denim and cant find any resources on how to get started or what the standards of denim jeans are! Anything would be helpful!

A pair of jeans can be anywhere from 30 minutes to a few hours depending on how complex you want to get with it. We will be making a video series on the entire jean making process in the next little bit. Let me know if there is anything specific you'd like to see.
