We're so lucky to have such and fabulous quilt shop in our neighborhood and owned by a very friendly and giving family.

The threads!!!! oh my gosh, I hope they are available online. What a great surprise visit. Kudos to the shop owners for diversifying and encouraging a return to garment sewing (and the use of hemp fabrics). Having both quilting and garment supplies available is appreciated more than you know!

The coolest quilter in the coolest quilt shop! ❤️ Y'all are the best. I feel very spoiled to count Sewing Arts as my local quilt shop! And love the point Rob made about buying online... there are still options to get the convenience of ordering to your home while also supporting an independent small business that contributes to the quilting craft and community.

Now if I could only get to California. I would be in fabric heaven. I'd be in there every time I got enough money for a jelly roll. LOL.

Beautiful shop! However, I politely disagree that the best straight stitch is with a vertical front bobbin. My DX-7, Singers 201-221-404, and Pfaff 6152 all make stunning straight stitches. Only one of those is a front vertical bobbin, and two are oscillating hooks. Bernina has always made beautiful machines and I'm glad that tradition of quality is continuing.

I think he meant a non drop in, top loading bobbin which I agree with :). Juki and the Singer 221 are both side loading, rather than a top loading bobbin.
