You have selected the best for sure. Yes, these may be out of print, but so worth checking or keeping your eyes ‘peeled’. ( I think I just dated myself) I have some of them from back in the day. 😂 (oops I did it again)

I'm sure there are more of these Singer books around. I wished I knew all the titles but the ones my library has are excellent.

Great suggestions, Alex. I can’t believe that I forgot about my local library as a resource! I think I’m going to blame that on Covid. I only own one sewing book, and it’s Fabric Savvy. I refer to it quite often. When I got back into sewing after many years away, the newer fabrics were an absolute mystery to me. This book solves the mystery!

Yes, do not forget your local library and make sure you suggest some purchases. OR try to see if they have the books within the library network.

Did you ever tried the Lutterloh patterns ? I wish there was somebody making videos of these patterns.

I suspect a lot of people don’t use them because perhaps don’t know about them, they can also be pricey and lastly because of the amount of time that you have to put in to creating the pattern based on your measurements, make a muslin and then make it. I myself would love to learn pattern drafting but I’m pressed for time. So making something from scratch would be even more time consuming when I can just buy a pattern that is already made, adjust it and make it. If I had more time in a day I would for sure just learn and make my own patterns. I got plenty of inspiration alone from Moda Operandi. But then again I saw a jacket there yesterday. I loved it. But I figured I can hack the Illford jacket, make it and fly off into the sunset.

Great sewing book information so thanks for sharing, Alex. I'm interesting in looking at that jeans fitting book you mentioned, so I've just signed on to my library website. And though it's not at my local library right now, it's in their system so I was able to put it on hold and I can pick it up there soon. I'm looking forward to seeing your videos on the top down center out method.

Best thing to do is get it from your library. I'm all about sharing the reference and books with others plus it saves a few $$$.
