Lovely vlog! Stunning fabrics. The first one left me almost breathless. So, so lovely! I really like the colour of the denim, too. It looks like some cognac colour denim I bought from Andrea a couple of years ago. Have fun sewing them up!

Oh Rachel what lovely fabrics you got. We don't have places like that in the US. They seem to be going out of business real fast here or everything is quilting fabrics. Great fabrics, Geoff always has a something interesting to sell and Higgs and Higgs is a really favourite of mine. I don’t think we should ever apologise or feel guilty for buying fabric, what we like can change from year to year, although I do admire those that just buy what they tend to make and don’t stockpile and create a problem for themselves. I know I won’t make up all my fabric in my lifetime 😅. Look forward to seeing what you buy next weekend ❤

Great review of the show. I went on Saturday fairly early with a plan! I bought 4 Fabrics’s, 2 each from Lady McElroy and Higgs and Higgs (what a beautiful stand). It was quite early so managed to get round easily and got home for lunch too

I wasn’t particularly nervous of saying hi, as you always encourage viewers to do so. I was more conscious of interrupting your day together and didn’t want to take up your time . Gorgeous purchases Rachel. I recently visited Higgs & Higgs and bought the same denim in a soft moss green - it’s really lovely for spring trousers - I’m so tempted by the Thea pattern as the Peppermint Wide legs didn’t work for me.

You guys in the UK so lucky to have these shows to go too! We never say bad influence. We say enablers. Mum and Mr Christopher are both my enablers. Even when I loose a bet with Mr Christopher for a 2 month fabric ban ….he kept telling me I that I could buy fabric. Being stubborn Scorpio I refused to break the ban. Wide leg pants are my fav too Love the denim. I made a vogue wide leg out of a cord slightly darker than that I’m a huge lover of broderie anglaise…. Yours is stunning. Have a great day 💕🦩💖💕🦩

Hello Rachel I am so jealous that you can go to the sewing and quilting shows I live in Northern Saskatchewan Canada 🇨🇦 and it would be several hours to get one It would have to be a overnight trip Which can be expensive You need to not apologize for buying fabric You have projects in mind which is good. Lovely fabric, I love the color of the jean and as long as you wear it on your bottom half it’s fine. You just don’t want it next to your face, that’s how I wear colors that don’t soot me. 😊

I love your fabric blogs Rachel. I think they give me a dopamine hit! I’m going to the Stitch festival on Saturday and so excited but I have to watch how much I buy as I can’t sew fast enough! My room is stacked with fabric too. I love your purchases. I’m intending to buy the Thea pattern by tatb as I find trousers really difficult to fit and haven’t done a front fly before in all my years of sewing.I’m thinking that there will be very clear instructions and her measurements are always very good for me. I’m also going to get double gauze and love Higgs and Higgs. One year they had a fantastic bargain box and I bought loads for my baby granddaughter. Needless to say I haven’t made them all yet😂I did make a Pansy dress this week in gorgeous pink jersey with bunnies on from then.(soi) I think it’s great to get fabrics for top and bottom to make an outfit like you have.
