Nice. I learned to sew on a Singer stylist. Those old metal machines were very user friendly. I now have better machines but you can’t beat the simplicity of those old durable babies.

I just bought the Salirite clone , like yours. Can you show how you welded that added piece on the bottom? I couldn't figure out what you did and where. Also, what is an automotive belt conditioner? Where do you buy this and is there a brand you suggest? Thank you in advance.

Skipped stitches are almost always due to a bent needle. Hardly ever a machine problem.

Your old kenmore is made by the white company. Very cool! Me and my adult son both learned sewing on a vintage white machine, that's called a rubber bobbin tire by the hand wheel for rethreading your bobbin. You can get them for a buck online and sewing shops sell them as well. Very nice "family" sewing machine! Great work and repairing, I always lub/oil some of my sewing machine belts that does help quiet the machine for sewing! I agree! 👍🏾

That old Kenmore runs smooth as butter . . . nice! Love the solid mechanical "click-clack" sound of a well tuned old machine.

That machine is skipping stitches because the needle is worn or damaged.

The sailrite is made in China, just boxed in USA. Consew version is made in Japan.

Wow! I've never seen a machine with a walking foot like that. Pretty neat.

You may wanna replace the needle or the bobbin case for skipped stitches! (Possibly both)Great collection you have!👍🏾
