Presentation:
Invite a child to the practical life shelf
Introduce the name of the activity
On the shelf, there are paper with lines and holes behind the tray
Have the child bring the basket to the table and sit down
Take out the container, the cushion pad with one needle stick on it, scissors, and cardboard
Pick a roll of yarn
Unroll it on the table
Tread the needle
Joint the yarn together
Make a knot, as clear as possible to the child
Once the knot done, take the card stock
Thread the needle: push the needle down of the cardboard half way and turn the cardboard
Repeat the same movement until finish
Cut the yarn and leave a tail
Leave the needle in the cushion
Take the yarn and throw it in the trash or in the collage basket
Come back
Place everything back to the tray
Invite the child to do the activity, and he can do another one tomorrow
Let him know when he’s done you will show him to put his finish work
The guide will put the child name and put in his cubby

Note:
Limit the amount of card stock on the shelf, 5 card stock
If you see that the child really engage with this activity more than other activity then we could allow the child to do this activity more than one time in a day
The first card stock should be the straight line and later we can offer the different shape
Only invite the child that looks ready and does not have control movement, has to pick the right child
Following Exercise:
Sewing the burlap using the sewing loop
Draw a shape or simple design on the burlap and the child can sew
Embroidery, using embroidery yarn (thinner than the yarn for cardboard)
