Thank you for sharing. I agree with your assessment of Burda pattern instructions. I sewed a jacket for my grandson years ago he wanted. It turned out better than store bought. He told me the fabric and color he wanted and like you said after searching the pattern I was able to determine the size to sew. It took me a week to sew this jacket because of those instructions and had been sewing for over 30 years 🤦🏽‍♀️. However, like you said, the fit was spot on. He was over the moon. He posted pictures of it and someone in Texas offered to buy it. Burda styling is great, but their instructions are horrible. I’ve watched your other reviews of mens patterns and appreciate your honesty and integrity of thought. For this jacket, I believe the top stitching is on point. It doesn’t over power the jacket. The jacket is gorgeous and I love your choice of lining.

German patterns, like Burda and Neue Mode, assume you know what you’re doing. You want vague, try Burda sewing magazine.
