Hi Suzanne, I love your design for the rice bag, I have made two up to now. I was wondering how to make one in a strip, thank you so much for your clear instructions. Love Bella from Wales UK ❤

@@bellascraftystudio thank you for watching and commenting… It would be really hard for me to describe it to you in words, but I will try. Decide how big you want your rice bag/dimensions. For example, if I want my rice bag 7 inches on each side I will multiply 7×4 = 28+ one more inch or inch and a half for seam allowance, and that will be the length of my strip. 29.5”. I always remember that I have approximately 3/4 of an inch, on each end that is my seam allowance and then I will take the rest of the measurement 28 inches and mark it off into four quadrants. And I will decorate each one of those quadrants according to what I want to show on each side of the rice bag. After I’m done decorating the outside of the bag, then I will sew it into a circle or loop. After that is the process of setting in the bottom of the bag. That’s a whole different process. I Think I covered that in the video… If you have any more questions, feel free to contact me and maybe I should consider doing a second video about putting it together. How is life in Wales? Oh how I wish I could see your country. I could give you my email and you could send me pictures! when we are living in her own little bubbles it’s hard to visualize what other people’s lives are like. I hope you are a creator and are enjoying your life. Thank you for the contact.

Love the concept, I would’ve liked to see you sew “the circle” to the base to see how easy it is.

The base is a square.

These are stunning. What kind and thickness of rope do you use?
@suzanneinohiosuzannecogar21102 ай бұрын
@@xxdonna1959xx thank you for watching… I don’t know the actual size, but it is about the thickness of a pencil!
@xxdonna1959xx2 ай бұрын
@ is it cotton?
@suzanneinohiosuzannecogar21102 ай бұрын
@@xxdonna1959xxI’m not positive, ….but it seems to be. I have used different things. What ever I find at the thrift store or hardwear. It makes no difference to me what the actual content is, as long as it is the right thickness and flexibility!

@ i’m sorry I missed your comment/question. Yes, all the roping that I use is cotton.

I’m confused. Why do you need to leave an opening in the outer layer? Just pull it through the lining opening.

I’m not sure what you are referring to… ?… I watched the video to refresh myself… and I couldn’t find what you are asking about…?
