honestly, this is so much bettert than the lessons on the website. I tried serveral times with the different sewing techniques on avatar, but I never understood why it was so complicated, but this tutorial is really helpful for the beginners to understand the difference between the sewing options.

Hi. When you turn on Simulation/Gravity they will fall to the ground just like real life, unless there is an avatar to wear it items. I am trying to understand if seam allowance was included in the drafting. The pieces "sew" together as if they are connecting end to end and not on seam lines so it's difficult to know. The tutorials I have watched draft from size chart specs but don't add any ease or seam allowance before fitting on the avatar...Hmmm. I will keep learning.

CLO sews patterns together edge to edge. Seam allowance can be added with the Seam Allowance tool. This does not extend the pattern in CLO, but rather adds the allowance so Patterns can be exported for production.

Very useful tutorial! I only have a question: even if it's possible to sew it with multiple methods (such as the M2N or the SHIFT ones) why does the collar has those 2 points more, apparently unnecessary? This isn't the first time I watch a CLO tutorial where I see some patterns with more points tahn the ones used to create the lines and the necessray segments. Thank you in advance for the answer! ;)

There is not really a "why" answer for this. Often patterns are used to help illustrate the technique. You can import patterns from other CAD software, "clean" them up to suit your preference or edit as desired.

We recommend watching the Foundations videos to get an understanding how to control direction or movement of your pieces. You can place it on a piece of fabric that has zero opacity and it will show only the feather image.

Клавиши нажаты на клавиатуре? Только нажатые клавиши будут ярлыками для самих инструментов, которые можно увидеть при наведении курсора на инструменты.

@@CLO3D Угу на клавиатуре. Т.е. если вы жмете Shift или Shift + Q, то не придется это произносить, т.к. будет всплывать подсказка. На самом деле очень удобно, особенно, если случайно пропустить и не озвучить какие клавиши нажал :)

Not all tutorials come with a practice file. These concepts can be applied to any pattern that you create or import.

But the bottom band and cuffs should be unfolded in a real pattern. Am I missing something? EDIT: Or you basically cut them in double and sew them like it?

Hello! Thank you for your question. This tutorial is just to show the different sewing tools. These cuffs are single layer, but you could have them on fold at the bottom or have an undercuff pattern inside if you want! It's just not shown here. Hope this helps!
