Thank you so much for taking the time to show this. What I really appreciated was watching you sew the dart on the machine and seeing that the edges of your dart didn't line up exactly. They were just a little bit off, but it didn't seem to make a difference. Sometimes I get so hung up on making sure that my edges are exact, that it takes me forever to sew a seam. I so deeply appreciate these little tutorial videos and how much knowledge you give to us for free. I tell all my friends to watch your videos because you make sewing much less scary and make me feel like I can sew anything. Much love to you and your Silhouette crew!

Thank you so much Peggy. NOW I understand how to adjust the lower width of my pattern and how to work using the tissue behind. I am so visual, so hearing you describe it and than watching you do it was a big help for me. As do so many others, I appreciate all you contribute to teaching us.

I wish it were January every month, I have been sewing, sewing, sewing and when not sewing i.e. drinking coffee having breakfast etc. I have been watching your videos so I am learning!Great french dart explanation Peggy, thank you, very clear and concise. Can you do one for adding depth at the bust to Sonya's blouse? Do you take it off the yoke pieces? You had said in answer to a question in the comments part of the LCD video, "there is a seam there...you probably cant see it...there is a yoke line there, so just increase the yoke line, both top and bottom." A visual of this too would be awesome.Thank you for all you do, Elizabeth.

I am so happy I found this video! I was working on your pattern for the asymetrical top today and was going out of my mind trying to figure out how to add a size to the hip without messing up the dart for the smaller size. I FINALLY figured out how to do it - and guess what? It was exactly what you showed in your video -(only it took me 4 hours and a very messy looking pattern later). Lesson learned - next time I will check your videos BEFORE I work on the pattern. Can't wait to put a muslin together tomorrow. You have so a "no nonsense" way of explaining things. Love it!

This was SO helpful Peggy. Ever since I've watched you sewing french darts I've been doing the same (or so I thought!) by cutting them out and sewing them on the serger and they do look nice! My favourite dart just like you :)

Hi Peggy. Thanks for a great Webcast - just what I needed. I just completed a colour block top with french dart, one colour above the dart and the other below. The dart was done on my (dreaded) serger and I got a tiny crease at the top of the dart - still working on that one! BTW - great idea to utilise the selvage. P.S. for what it's worth; I think you're funny. Best...Sue A.

Thank you Peggy, very useful as Always. I think you are funny/you bring the fun in my sewing room by making it so unscary and simple, even if you speak in a foreign language (not in French). Plus you have the geekiest seat in there, same as my geeky computer player of a husand has. 😄 💚 Cilou

If you adjust a bodice 1/4 inch in on the center making it 1/2" less wide it moves your french dart 1/4" to the center and does not lay nicely or correctly on bust. Tried to shorten dart point and raise it to flatter bust. Can you suggest a full proof technique to use when altering bodice and changing the french dart to go with the altered area. Maybe you can take a bodice seam it up the center and see that the french darts are closer to the center but not proportional to flatter bust so you can see what I am talking about. Thank You.
