A fabulous vlog as always, thank you Andrea. A suggestion for the Sagebrush top by FPC - yes use a viscose (it has much more drape and has a completely different feel on the body), and maybe a variation for a soft flutter sleeve: Lengthen the sleeve length by 1 inch, insert sleeve as instructed, hem sleeve by turning up twice 1/4 inch. Alternative for a long sleeve version: Lengthen the sleeve by using a template from another pattern or draft to your own measurements. Finish the cuff by sewing a few town of shirring elastic or finish with a cuff or with a binding finish and ties to match the neck and back ties. I am making super cute version as a long sleeved dress with viscose crepe, contrasting the waist section to match the ties at the cuff and neckline/back ties. It’s coming together beautifully! Take care, and we look forward to your next video. X 😍

Beautiful beautiful makes. It’s hard to pick a favorite. The fabrics are lovely. That boarder print turned out nice! Looking forward to your next makes video. 🥰

Hi Andrea, I really learned something seeing how you take into consideration the amount of fabric you would have left over! I seem to have lots of bits left on all my projects, because I haven’t known how much I would use exactly!… oh well, - learning! Belinda mentioned scrunchies, maybe a headband… but you don’t seem to wear that kind of thing often. Either the dress or tops would be nice, but if you have left over bits I will be REALLY interested to hear what you do with them!🤣 being a new-ish sewer, I don’t have much of a stash yet, but these left over bits are starting to fill boxes!!😱

Wow you have been really busy Andrea. Lots of gorgeous makes 😍. Sorry to throw a spanner in the works but I think your stripes and floral would look amazing as a sew over it Audrey top 💕🙈 I can not wait to see what you make with it whichever you choose xx

Beautiful makes. I especially love the white T with the eyelet fabric sleeve.

Re your rose and stripe fabric, would adding the contrast panel on the Givre dress leave you a bit more and you could make a Pattern Emporium Time out Tank? It takes just under a yard for most sizes, you could get more wear out of it by adding one of your gorgeous cardis. Or you could always make scrunchies!
@ruthlanwarne89783 жыл бұрын
You could make a Molly dress by SOI as it looks nice with the stripes going the other way on the sleeves. I put a band on mine too like the Southbank dress. I’m always torn between a dress and a top if I have enough fabric for a dress😆

You've made some beautiful things Andrea. I think you should make the Givre dress with that fabric. You have a vision for it, and may well regret not using it for what you intended. It will make your heart sing, won't it, and that will be worth it. There's always more fabric for tops isn't there?
@katejames64393 жыл бұрын
Lovely to see all your makes in detail and hear about your plans, Andrea. I bought the roses and stripes fabric and made a SOI Molly top which I absolutely love, but I really wish I had bought more fabric and made a dress. I think a Givre dress in it would look fabulous on you.

Lovely makes Andrea,i love the sage top in the dark blue fabric.2 tops would be nice in the striped roses,as you would have a choice of both to wear in that lovely fabric. Thank you for sharing.hugs x
@sew_So_beautiful3 жыл бұрын
I'd make the Givres dress from the striped floral fabric and save the scraps for colour blocking, neck and sleeve binding, or something like that since the dress was what you really wanted to make. You can always make tops from other fabrics.

Love all the makes and your fabric choices. The bras look interesting. Look forward to seeing the different shades you thinking of making up. I have sewed a bra for myself and must say it’s my most comfortable I own. Have missed seeing your makes or sew along vlogs as being in South Africa it’s not viable to order from you shop though I have watched and been so envious of the beautiful fabrics you have. The choices seem to be endless.

Oh I’d go for a couple of tops with your final fabric. Great to have so many choices or not! Beautiful makes. I really love the white top with the statement sleeves. Do you seek the white cotton in your shop as it looks great quality. Thanks for sharing😻

Thank you for a great video, your tips & helpful pointers are really appreciated. Love all your dresses & tops, so pretty. You have certainly been busy this month. In respect of the last fabric with the 🌺 on difficult choice but you did mention that you would wear the tops more, so I would go with that idea.

Oh I had so many fabric off cuts from makes where I didn't want to throw it away but it wasn't really big enough to make into anything, so I would vote for 2 tops😃. Your dresses will work really well transitioning from summer to autumn and for spring really.

Hi I love your Sagebrush tops, and your bra plans, great colour combinations. I'd love to try bra making👍🏼I'd make a dress out of the fabric if that is what you've been dreaming about... Could you make pants from the leftovers or scrunchies..? 🤔
@Joanna-sewingreloaded3 жыл бұрын
I love all your dresses and tops in this video (and in general too ;) ), I love blue gingham particularly, but the white top: combination of plain knit and broderie anglaise in white is an absolute hit. Even if I don´t make something similar this season, it will definitely be among my future plans. Also, I love the fabric: navy blue stripes with "seashells" written among them. I don´t know why I haven´t bought it yet (or rather: it was my fear for sewing knits which I am gradually overcoming :) )
@SewFabricate3 жыл бұрын
So nice to see you today seems ages since you last vlogged. Love the idea of a dress in the striped rose fabric - you’ll get the full impact of the design. Still going to pinch your T-shirt with broderie anglaise sleeves - so pretty 😍🥰😘

Lovely makes Andrea, gorgeous dresses. I think your blue floral Sagebrush top looks particularly lovely on you too. Is it possible to make that top without the frill on the shoulders, or is it a necessary part of the pattern? If it were my choice I’d make a boatneck T-shirt and/or a long sleeve Breton Top from the blue stripe/flower fabric. I just love tshirts to throw on with jeans and that fabric is so pretty. Happy sewing x

Lovely makes! It’s always so inspiring to see what you have made 🌸💕. How about if make the Givre dress out of the striped fabric, but did the color blocked version with black or red at the top? Would you have enough of the striped fabric to make both a dress and a top then?
