What machine was used to cut out the design on the cork purse? Thanks.

Emma Bourke The machine was a BERNINA 880 with cutwork tool. It was set up for embroidery and instead of a needle with thread it has a cutting blade. After the holes are cut you lay fabric underneath and. It stitches around each square. Hope that helps😊

Depending on the grade of cork it is anywhere from $10-50 per yard. You can also purchase smaller pieces to use fir embellishment.

Why dont people make clothing with cork? I want to order cork fabric and make a jacket lol but I’ve never seen clothing with it

That’s a great idea. The fabric itself is very sturdy and heavier, perfect for wallets. It does not have much drape therefore may not be very comfortable to wear. Maybe adding trim or embellishments on denim jacket and jeans? What do you think?
