Hi! No need to cut the fabric first. Just fold twice and then measure the quarter circle from the corner. Hope that makes sense. Thank you for your comment!

How to do know how much fabric you need

Measure diameter of the table ad the drop on each side and 2x seam allowance. Check the width of the fabric you want to buy. You’ll have to buy extra fabric to attach on both sides to make the tablecloth symmetrical if the width of the fabric is not enough.

Now if I can just get it sewn without any puckers. This looks easy but isn't. I always have to shorten 70" to 60" table cloth.

If you need to sew more pieces of fabric together then sew on each side of the main piece of fabric so the final circle is symmetrical and you won’t end up with any seams on the tabletop. Thank you for the question and have fun sewing!
