Thank you Jen for the Stabilizer video! I finally got the chance to open up my PE800 (only sat in my kitchen calling my name for two weeks now). I had no idea what stabilizer to use, I did order the cut away stabilizer and was relieved to see you talked about it. Thank you for the videos....keep them coming, because you just became my new Best Friend! Gail

It's crazy how important the right stabilizer is for certain projects - can really make or break the success. You might enjoy my friend Jaime's channel as well - she knows more than me about stabilizer! kzbin.info/door/o7ogs4dbQG1j81eY5ITuXw

My being a beginner at embroidery, the basics is a great way to learn. I saved what videos of yours that I’ve watched so far, by emailing them to myself and creating a special folder for them...thus, access to watch them is faster. Taking notes always helps too.

Would you make a tutorial on how to line up embroider designs on shirts and a full tutorial on appliqué with your machine?
@TrinityWon-j3m5 жыл бұрын
I’m in a pickle! When attempting to embroider a microfiber towel (bought at Dollar Tree), I used the ‘Tear-away’ stabilizer. The designs I used were ‘Frosty’ (written text) and a figure of a snowman (Frosty himself). On the first attempt to do the written text, came out too small and hardly readable, so I enlarged the text size...this was much better. The finished embroidery of ‘Frosty’ wasn’t so great. I had it rather small, about an inch and a half in height. The stitching wasn’t dense enough, in fact, the back of it appears to look better, lol! What type of stabilizer would you suggest I use for a light weight microfiber towel? Practicing on such an item as these may not be so wise...but I have so many of them. They make great hand towels because they air-dry quickly when used frequently. So easy to wash too. Do you have any suggestions on what types of materials to use for practicing and learning how to embroider? I appreciate your help 💖

Thanks Jen for these amazing videos. I just got my Brother PE800 a week ago and am super excited and educating myself with your videos. Wanted to ask if you have tried the bobbins that came with the embroiderix package and also for reference what size needles should we keep on hand that will be used often with this machine. Thank you so much for all the info!

Wow I don't think I got bobbins with my Embroidex kit, guess they're worth a go? Keep several different sizes on hand but I largely use 75/11, 80/12, and 90/14

I am embroidering on a quilt for the quilting part of it. This means that the embroidery will go thru all layers and be seen on the back of the quilt. It is cotton fabric. Would you use the water soluable so it will not show at all?

Hey, thank you for the good explanation. As a newbie in this business, I have a problem with the no-show mesh stabilizer. The problem is, when I make test of the t-shirt after first washing, these little cross symbols from the stabilizer appear on the embroidery part and it isn't look so nice. Any suggestions to handle that problem?
@Marnie18695 жыл бұрын
I bought colored bicycle bands found in automotive area of dollar tree and they wrap around stabilizer and you can write on them name of stabilizer.

Would using this stop the outlining being off of the design
5 жыл бұрын
I use the transparent water soluble stabilizer, but for fabrics i can't mark my design on (for hand embroidery), so i do it over the film, on fabrics like velvet, furry fabrics or even linen if the design is intrincated enough. Then, i find it difficult for the fabric to stay the same after the water. The velvet is the most difficult (the hairs are all messed up). I Firstly, put my work over the foset, it didn't work because it messed up the fabric... then, on a bowl with water and let is stay, but with no luck.. What do you recommend?, is there another better solution in the market? Thank you!
@SewingReport5 жыл бұрын
It seems like a lot of machine embroiderers choose to "float" fabrics like velvet on top of the hoop. If it's a light color, you could make markings directly on the fabric with an air soluble marker and they would disappear.
@bowsupply27775 жыл бұрын
Can you tell us what tension you put the machine on when you are doing t shirts?
@SewingReport5 жыл бұрын
You really gotta test out scrap fabric (use the same type of material) first on different settings. There's not really a standard answer as so many factors can affect tension.

Does the brother machine have Disney characters?
@SewingReport3 жыл бұрын
The PE800 does not have Disney designs included. I believe you might be able to purchase designs separately through Brother, but keep in mind that the license is for personal non-commercial use only so you can't sell Disney items. www.ibroidery.com/DesignList.aspx?CatID=14
