This will officially be the first quilt I make. I honestly haven’t started because my mom will be turning 70. She has always bought those quilts from the department stores. They are pretty but this will be so much better. When it’s done, I will definitely be sharing what it looks like. Hopefully I am hand quilt it by her birthday in December. 🤞

I have completed the pieces up to Step 4, then I set it aside to go back to Our Friday Girls group Spring Cleaning quilt that we have been conversing back and forth about. Lovely! I’m 2/3 of the way finished with my King. I used leftover Kaffe Fassett strips and fat quarters, some which I never had any idea how I’d use them (ie, not really my style). I also used the same black I used for my accent fabric for my cornerstones AND my setting triangles, and I absolutely love the way it looks with it’s “scalloped” edge!! I’ll have to post a pic somewhere you’ll be able to see it. Yet another great Cozy Quilt pattern. Thanks so much.

Good morning Daniella flower, thank god you are human like the rest of us. On the up side of your mistook, you at least can re-cut the actual measurement of fabric because you have it there, where as we would need to wait for another delivery and or save enough up to buy the fabric once more. I learned along time ago about measuring twice or even thrice, cut once, as a lot easier in the stress department, lol. I actually prefer your new surrounding sashing because it looks liking they are shadows around your blocks. I think that i would have tried seeing what that beautiful green(i hate green) would have looked like in between the sashing as setting stones(did i say i hate green), because it would have given it a whole different look entirely. The last quilt reminds me off the daffodils in my front garden, especially with the paler green and then darker green borders that would be the grass(or weeds like is around mine at the moment) and their stalks. Sorry flower but i have a very fertile imagination most of the time, seeing things that normal people don't, lol. Thank you for a beautiful quilt that is just right for the spring, with the gardens coming into bloom again. Thank you for taking the time to show us each stage(i'm a real beginner), for sharing things that we all know that we do wrong but don't think the professionals ever did. It gives us confidence and hope that we all learn something each day. And thank you for your kindness in giving this pattern to us, i very much appreciate your kindness. Take care in this madness that is surrounding the world at the moment and hopefully we will come out the other side better people in everything. Crafty hugs, from Norah, Glenochil Village, Central Scotland
