If you wash and dry your fabric before sewing you should be fine.

Does Wrap n Zap come in different thicknesses? I have one of these warmers I bought years ago and it is thicker. Thanks. Edit: could I use 2 layers of this in each side, and could I use another thin cotton circle to cover the 2 layers, attach to single design fabric and then do the quilting before joining the two sides together?
@SewVeryCrafty3 жыл бұрын
Not that I know but I believe that your method would work nicely.

I have a packet of pre-cut 10” squares; would this work for tortillas?
@SewVeryCrafty2 жыл бұрын
They might be a bit small but you could try it and see. I like mine to be 11" in diameter to fit a variety of tortillas.
@madasahatter4489 Жыл бұрын
Circle should be 11 inches IN DIAMETER -- NOT "11 inches around" ALSO, the main reason for using 100% cotton for this is that it heats in an OVEN (a microwave oven). Synthetic fabrics (polyester, acrylic, etc) WILL MELT in an oven. Natural fabrics (cotton, silk, wool) DON'T MELT.

do you backstitch on the quilting portion?

Is it necessary to use cotton thread also?
@SewVeryCrafty3 жыл бұрын
You should use cotton thread for this as it is food safe.
@emmysideris87683 жыл бұрын
Isn’t it also necessary to use cotton thread as it goes in the microwave and using polyester may cause a fire
@SewVeryCrafty3 жыл бұрын
Yes that is correct. I should have made that clear in the video. Everything should be cotton for this project.,
@carlakniffen91002 жыл бұрын
I like learning from you. Yet I wonder why do people have Tv's or people talking in the background? It's very distracting. Someone was talking about $6000 in jewelry. The music sounds like the old show Dragnet.
@SewVeryCrafty2 жыл бұрын
Sorry about that. I thought that I had turned that off. I listen to old-time radio and Dragnet must have been on. I will be more cognizant of that in the future.
@lorrieliu59383 жыл бұрын
100% cotton fabric, thread, batting because it is microwave safe (will not burn), not becuz it's food safe
@SewVeryCrafty3 жыл бұрын
You are, of course, correct and I should have pointed that out in the video. Thank you for your input.
