She has heard into others saying it's wrong for women to have kids so late in life. Her response is perfect. " Responsible people knows what is right for their own family. Now personally I could take care of babies until the day I die. But the idea of being in my sixties and dealing with teenagers I'd want to kill myself."

I get that too. What bugs me is this character was not considering this in her late 40s, 50s or 60s; she's considering it at like 33 or 35 because (at least at that time) evidence was pointing to the idea that her fertility would rapidly decline after mid 30s. The fact that a woman said they wanna freeze their eggs doesn't automatically mean they're waiting decades; it could just mean waiting five or six years so they have viable eggs that don't necessarily deteroriate in her late 30s. She's also contemplating this because unfairly she's stuck with the burden of deciding on her career or her potentially starting a family she doesn't have a firm opinion on. And to all of that the dude, an educated lawyer, reduced her to the concept of a "desperate woman abusing science who thinks men are useless." That said, I appreciate your mother's quote. Genuine blessings.
