I dont like her because i think she is not trustworthy, is a cheater, hypocrite, narrow minded, judgmental, bad friend, weak and tries to change another personnot love them for who they are but make them into her perfect vision. I never made that connection that her whole wedding to Big got derailed because of the same. Good observation. I feel that he had his flustered moments and he tried to correct it and she overreacted. How many of us have lost our phone or we've lost our charger and somebody comes to the conclusion that is completely wrong. That we were avoiding their calls. He got stuck in traffic, which is totally understandable They could have just had a wedding that started an hour late. It won't be the first of the last time that happens. Poor Carrie definitely escalated the situation by her reaction. I do not sanctify Big but the whole thing about their wedding going off track was one massive misunderstanding. Totally avoidable. ann l I’d love to see how you’d react to being left at the altar. I agree that she’s somewhat melodramatic but clearly they just needed time to figure things out. Things like this happen. People move on in life, meet other people, get married, have affairs, get divorced. It just happens. I think he probably married Natasha because he probably liked her very much in the moment but wasn’t thinking about the big picture. Or also he wasn’t really sure of what he wanted vs what he felt he should want. The idea of Natasha might have been exciting, but it didn’t last. We never see his reasons, but we know something kept him away from Carrie for all those years. I’d argue it’s her inability to compromise because she is so self centred. Perhaps that’s why he chose someone else, As a response to what he wasn’t getting from her. People do that in real life. They get fed up with each other.

The thing about Carrie is she is relatable. Women have done cringy shit in their life. However.... She's in her 30s.... Her mistakes (cheating on Aidan, chasing after a married man, having the audacity to ask Natasha for forgiveness during a lunch date, codependency issues, etc) could have easily been done by a girl in her 20s. I think that's what made the character look "desparate" and annoying.

What Carrie failed to understand is that just because you are ready to be 'forgiven', doesn't mean that the person you wronged is ready to forgive you. Frankly, I don't think Carrie's apology to Natasha was really sincere or profoundly felt, Carrie just didn't like feeling badly about herself but she wasn't really thinking about Natasha or her feelings.

@@CaAnPeSe4ever The fact that Carrie's main comment from the conversation with Natasha was "oh no, she's back on singles' market, as if the New York women didn't have it hard enough" shows how truly sad she was for hurting Natasha...
@CaAnPeSe4ever3 жыл бұрын
@@AgnessaMo In the end, it's just a TV show but I'm sticking to my guns; Carrie wanted Natasha's forgiveness so Carrie wouldn't have to go on feeling badly about herself. Maybe she somewhat felt sorry for Natasha but Carrie had more empathy for herself.
@AgnessaMo3 жыл бұрын
@@CaAnPeSe4ever My reply wasn't clear enough I guess, because it was meant to be sarcastic - as instead of "poor Natasha, got married only to be cheated on regularly short after" she thought "poor women of New York will now have to compete with Natasha" (as if 1 woman made such a difference). As Charlotte said, Carrie never thought of Natasha's feelings, so actually I completely agree with you

Carrie mentions how Big was nowhere mentioned in the newspaper article and then she turned around and did the same thing to Big in her Vogue article over her engagement and upcoming wedding in SATC movie. Karma for her thinking she’d never do anything like that.

I think sometimes persons make you cause a damage in your self esteem, could be your boss, your partner, even your family and friend, the important thing is to overcome to the adversities, but sometimes is hard, how to try doesn't affect you when a person makes you feel bad 😥

Charlotte: He wasn't the right man for you. The only truest line uttered in the entire series, Charlotte had it spot on right. Carrie: She's style section Vera Wang. Me: Do you even know her to make such assumptions?

Going through this right now - didn’t make all the choices Carrie made staying with him for so long etc, but hung on in my head, long enough to watch him move on with someone I would regard as a Natasha. Instead of bitchy comments or judgment, try and understand how much pain a situation like this would cause. I’m trying to not let it break my esteem but it’s hard ❤️ anyone else holding on, please find another way, it can really break you xx

Well, this happens... at least in your case it was with a Natasha. In my case, I was the Natasha and the Carrie was really a dime a dozen nobody. Oh it hurts.

The unintentional hold that Mr.Big had on Carrie is really really scary. She became the worst of herself whenever he came into her life. Miranda's words that the worst part is that you go back to him again and again to get hurt .....that defines Carrie and Big's relationship .

OK I went and watched the movies and I just finished watching the series. In this scene Carrie’s talking about Natasha called the shots and the whole article is just and her point of you. But she ended up doing the same thing because she was afraid they did not get married things would end and the whole wedding was Carrie when big just wanted to go to the courthouse.
