I really hope Jackson and Viv's relationship in season 3 remains completely platonic. There's a type of brother/sister dynamic between them that I think is really refreshing. Especially when Jackson struggles so heavily with his mental health and his parents. He's going to need Viv more than ever.

I didn't really like Jackson in the beginning tbh, until it was revealed that he struggled with anxiety. Instead of making him just another stereotypical jock character that competed for the attention of Maeve with Otis, He was given some depth and found out that he is living a life where he is miserable. His whole story in the second season was one of my favorites and so is his friendship with Viv. Great character!!

@@akhila7443 they just werent compatible. Maeve didnt really trust him that much either which Jackson found out and confronted her about it. Jackson liked her but really didnt know or understand her, alot of scenes made that clear e.g. Maeve asking Jackson about Adam's essay....Jackson didnt care, whereas Otis knew it was Maeve's writing and told her that. Maeve loves Otis because he understands her, is always there for her, she opens up with him and is always happy with him (before the party scene 😥)

EXACTLY!!! They would be sooo cute. The only reason why more people aren’t down for it is because Viv doesn’t meet “society’s standard”. So they see Jackson with someone on the opposite end of her spectrum (like Maeve). But I think she’s beautiful and they understand eachother on such a deep level. I really hope they date next season. I’m happy for Jackson and Viv to be friends, but it would be great if their relationship could be romantic, mainly because of what Viv said about popular guys like Jackson not noticing girls like her. Often popular guys in shows would end up with the conventionally attractive slim girl, but this show has subverted many stereotypes so far, so it would be amazing to see them show that anyone can be in a relationship with anyone, and with their chemistry, it can be possible. It just depends on whether or not the writers will execute it.

Everyone says they want viv and Jackson to remain just friends, but i have to disagree. Despite being 100% supporting of w/m friendships, Jackson and viv have great chemistry together and it would be very refreshing to see the obese, nerd girl get with the jock. "nerds"' portrayal in movies is always unrealistic ( white skinny girls that aren't "pretty" just cuz they wear glasses) and only then, they get the pretty boy. But now that plus size girls finally got some representation it would be nice to see a blooming romance between the two.
