My first reaction to this song was somewhat similar to yours. This song is the single most beautiful song by deftones and it has an unique vibe, even considering other Deftones songs. Diamond Eyes is an unbelievable album. You listen to "Rocket Skates", which is heavy as hell and "Sextape" is just after that. And then "Risk" comes banging hard again but with some feelings there. What a ride is this album. My favorite by them.

chino's lyrics are almost always cryptic but I like to think this song is about having such a strong intimacy with someone that it feels like you're making a sextape whenever you're with them.

Not cool. That's not what the band had in mind when they wrote it. Chi had just become a vegetable after a serious car accident. He loved surfing and the ocean so much, it was almost sexual to him. So this song isn't even about sex. And for all of you who think it is, you do the band and Chi a serious disservice.
