My brother describes the prostate examination as 'up periscope'. He's lived in France for several years now and they have him in like clockwork to check that kind of thing. I too had a screening intervention of the rear entrance kind a while ago when I quipped to the nurses that I couldn't claim to be entirely virginal in that department, but usually it was after several GnT's. Anyway, there came a point when the probe felt more like an entire film crew. It really was an eyes wide shut moment and I reached out, calling, 'has anyone got a hand free?!!' Immediately, a warm hand took mine and matched my grip. Oh, I could not have more grateful!! Bless that nurse!
