Love it!! So true. Me an INFP married an ISTJ mostly due to being members of the same religious organization. It was a safe choice. Sex was very uninspiring. With both of us as virgins we really didn't know any better. Sex frequency went way down after we had two kids, and eventually I got a divorce, after she had threatened divorce multiple times, never really willing to discuss the underlying problems of our relationship. Now I'm engaged to an INFJ, night and day difference in our physical intimacy. She's actually eager to participate and so much fun!!

As an ENTP i have a good argument on sexual relations. Guys and gals in relationships are just like enjoying an ice cream sundae. Every sundae comes with cherries. Can you have a sundae without the cherries? Yes! Most people cant live without cherries on their sundaes. Funny thing is that some people get a sundae, eat just the cherries and leave the sundae for later. Why??? Cuz they value sex so much. The cherries are like sex and the sundae is like the relationship. If guys approach relationships with the objective of just being sexually gratified, the woman feels used and breaks up. So whats the solution? Stop popping cherries at the expense of the relationship as a whole!!!

It makes sense to open a relationship, but just for sexual escapades, but not for emotional connections. Have friendships for that kind of intimacy, but both physical and emotional would just be with me, and that’s what would separate me from the rest of people as this person’s partner.

For women if sex is their goal, it's highly beneficial. Men on the other hand generally lose out on open relationships because it's easier for women to have sex than men (barring a high status guy in the top 1 percent). It's the dumbest crap ever for an average guy to promote an open marriage because his average wife could easily get many times more partners.

I'm curious Chase, is it really impossible for these relationships to work? Are there ever situations where if both people are able to achieve enough development of the other sides of their minds/their other perception functions then there may be a capacity for a 'taking of turns' type of approach sexually? A give and take approach? Overall, the way you describe these situations with the painter/canvas analogy and the problems that can arise, it makes a lot of sense. I agree, in general, that the vast majority of people are probably better off getting with the someone of the opposite perception axis.

Well if we were to go by the theory of Si/Se sexual compatibility something close to 35-40 percent of women are ESFJ/ISFJ alone (I think something like 70-75 percent of women overall are Si users). This might be great for Se user men as there is an abundance of Si user women but that also means there is a dearth of Se user women which puts strain through a hyper competitive environment if Se user women are the only types Si user men should pursue romantically. In a game of romantic musical chairs a significant percentage of Si user men will be left out. It's simple math that is not all that encouraging.

In my opinion I don't think this is a big issue. Se-user women are intimidating anyway and scare off a lot of dudes because of their masculine energy. Even as an ISTJ I find myself attracted to ISFJ women, because they are not that intimidating. I'm sure there are plenty of se-fish in the sea.
@mrod8578 Жыл бұрын
@@forestfrog5960 True I never thought of it that way. I tend to find Si user vvomen much more attractive myself as Se vvomen can be highly emasculating and take charge (which western society also promotes which probably enables them to be even more masculine through nurture). Their personalities are too strong for me or perhaps I'm not man enough for them and I certainly don't want the aggravation of trying to make such a relationship work. I want peace in a relationship because I work hard outside of it (coming home battling for dominance and leadership of my household is not my idea of fun). For example I much more prefer Melanie to Scarlett from Gone with the Wind for example in a relationship (looking with a Red pill lens Rhett became an emasculated man until he chose to walk away). However Chase is talking sexual compatibility which means an Si user like myself is supposedly meant to be with an Se user type. Feminine softness (as opposed to masculine hardness looking to take charge) is much more alluring to me when looking for a woman. Unfortunately if what Chase is saying is true, I'm meant to be with an Se user vvoman. I might rather be a monk lol! I'm sure it might be different with Se vvomen overseas as some of them have cultures which trains and promotes vvomen in femininity regardless of type so that might be a future possibility.

Watching all the divorced couples from my peers parents overall (and now my peers approaching 40) over time, I now realize how rare my parents relationship was as an adult in the western world. My mother would shake her head when she saw vvomen constantly usurping their men in public and the men taking it (I grew up playing sports and I saw such things and saw plenty of parent gatherings and get togethers...never thought anything of it because it was so common for men to step back and vvomen to test them...their subsequent divorces was not surprising thinking about it now).

Oof, this hits close to home. My partner and I are both Si dominant and have only been with one other person. I wouldn’t say either of us are unsatisfied with our sex lives though it maybe have to do with our lack of experience. My previous relationship was with an Si inferior and I was unsatisfied with the sex life though not for the reasons listed in the video. Using the painter and canvas metaphor, my partner felt like a canvas masquerading as a painter and never let me be a painter. Things felt stale pretty quickly. In my current relationship, we joke we’re switches because we genuinely enjoy when the other person takes on the painter role. There’s a lot of give-and-take and blurred lines in roles. Things don’t feel stale is what I’m saying. Outside of the bedroom, I do wonder if he’d have more fun with someone more spontaneous and less canvas-like. It could be because of my previous relationship, but instead of getting down about how I am, I prefer to think about ways I can grow and develop. Maybe we’re not an ideal fit, but I care enough to try to make this relationship as satisfying as reasonably possible.

@@aladdout9454 I am an INTJ woman. Although I like and accept my personality type and being an Se user, because it’s my inferior function I have struggles with it. It’s difficult to find the correct balance. It’s like I have instincts to be noticed, go out and get what I want by myself. However, I have anxiety of making mistakes and failure to get over. Also I am reluctant to take risks that other Se users with Se hero or parent would have no problem taking. Due to personal experiences, I’ve found that people (especially guys) get intimidated by someone like me because I can’t find that balance between staying loyal to my Se or staying loyal to societal expectations of females. Generally speaking, society tends to view women as Si users and men as Se users because Se qualities are seen as more masculine and Si qualities as feminine. I don’t wanna get too personal with my next statement but for the longest time, I’ve been aware that I enjoy the idea of harvesting desire and other positive emotions from someone I love. Even when I fantasise about love, in my imagination, I am the one who is pursuing, finding my target who will become my ‘canvas’. Other Se users have that same raw instinct (even if they are unaware), they still want someone to be their ‘canvas’. CSJ is right about his painter canvas analogy. There is a person who desires (harvests - normally this isn’t done with bad intentions) and a person who wants to receive that desire (donating to the person harvesting. It’s a concept I came up with recently but haven’t examined my concept enough to see it’s flaws.

This lecture kinda terrifies me tbh. Before my husband, I've only been with one man, pretty sure he was an ISFP. Good times were the best I've ever had but at worst he was verbally abusive and had anger issues throwing stuff around the room and punching walls. I broke that off before it escalated regardless how much he begged me to stay. I didn't learn about jungian psychology until recently while I was already married to my INTP husband. The first year was extremely difficult since we didnt start living together or were intimate until after we got married. Listening to compatibility lectures now has me take initiative in the bedroom and I have to be blunt in what I want my husband to do, and it has to be frequent. He's learned so much about me too with these lectures and really try our best. I'll rather drop dead than leave my marriage because I don't think it's that bad. Hiccups in communication happen here and there but I have a lot of patience and we don't really argue. I believe my husband is happy too, I think if I were to give him the option to leave the marriage or see other people, he would get upset and rage. I don’t want children, but I relish the Se parent-Si child dynamic. I was relieved when you recently said the reason the refinement relationship doesn’t work is because both parties are seldom willing to do the work to improve themselves, for the relationship. I have read that 8’s (enneagram) need a sense of the divine, intensity and a challenge to feel fulfilled and like their life has some direction and eventfulness. Sources have implied that we need some sense of kinesis and even a metaphysical triad - some third entity - to feel fulfilled in our lives. Could it be possible that the challenger relationship is moreso a third entity relationship than other types? As an 8w9 with object permanence issues and a schizoid nature, a refinement relationship seems like it could benefit well from the permanence of Si child physical presence and attentiveness. In addition to this, the third entity nature of a refinement relationship may be an agnostic 8’s key to supplanting the divine.

If anything, it just proves even more what Chase was saying adding to that the stagnation of personal growth, but if your have to chose : In a canvas on canvas situation , if it don't work and you want it to, you learn some new tricks, the question then is " Is skim milk still milk?" , On the other hand in a painter on painter situation, one will have to fake it. We haven't yet had sex or met in person, he won't have sex before marriage (I know what a trap lmao) but I've never been so, so turned on. So, my question is: are trauma based kinks/sexuality an exception? Both of our Si's desire and need it to be that specific way and it just happened to be compatible. I might be getting ahead of myself cuz we haven't actually done it yet, but I feel like he is truly the only person who gets my sexuality, like he can read my mind (we have the same functions, so he basically can lol). Thinking of the future, you said it could just turn out to be a fling. In the long run would an Se user be needed to keep sex fresh? Idk I'm just so confused and don't know if your theory holds up cuz I've never been so mentally perfectly stimulated. He knows exactly what to say it's scary. He's a Dom and wants to have pleasure selfishly (not directly correlated to being a top, it's just his personal slant/kink) it's all about his Si and Fi basically, and my kink is to be used exactly in the way he wants, I want to Te and Ne, like give him freedom and to take it how he wants, like using my Te to make the whole operation work. It's definitely duality. I'm not an INFJ or anything. You know how you can feel that you use the same functions just because it's relatable? It's like that so yeah he's definitely ESTJ and I'm INFP.

This video applies to that scenario. Asking someone to use their critic function at all times is unrealistic.

Well, I had a crush on an ISTP man, being ISFP myself. We got pretty close emotionally and after some time we had a sexual episode. But we did not get along very well, I think it was because of my immaturity though. Anyway, my point is you can have a crush on your type but did you got into relationship? I think that would verify if you would get along

You know what I find funny? ENTP’s have Fi trickster meaning they have no moral awareness and YOU made A social engineering series and once said(in the cognitive attitude of the trickster function video) that Fi trickster caused the nuclear bombs being that someone made them so that they would solve A problem but ended horribly and you making social engineering videos to solve A problem but leading to something horrible(people having access to manipulate everyone around them) sounds remarkably similar to your remark about Fi tricksters unawareness of morals and also the nuclear bombing comparison was very comparable to that video

@@Ruu555 I’m sorry that you’re having a hard time attracting si users! I wonder what vibes you’re giving off to attract se users to you very interesting. My suggestion is make the desire factor strong we want to be wanted so put on your best I want you eyes you know the ones I’m talking about with the fluttery thing 👀 look up some body language videos as well that will help a tonnnnn I promise they’ll definitely go for that. Also we’re more on the boring side than you are my INTP boyfriend does not do the funnest of things either. I suggest looking in quieter environments (make sure you look your best and are alone when you go) and I think you’ll have more success there than at clubs, bars, and parties. Places like libraries, museums, cafes, parks, basically anywhere there isn’t too much noise those are your best bets imo. You can definitely do louder environments as well obviously but I find they’re harder to spot there. Initiate the conversation first if you think you see one because they’re not as forward as se user men.

Would it be fair to say, that if a partner or lover isn’t wanting or needing sex from their significant other, the relationship is probably best that it ends? Mostly due to fear of pregnancy. Both partners don’t want kids. Any suggestions?

Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait... Hold up. Wait a second. Somethin' ain't right. CHUCK PALAHNIUK is an ESTJ???? Chase, almost all your celebrity typings seem accurate. There are a couple that come to mind that I personally am skeptical of, but only a minor (as minor as possible) difference, for example there are a couple individuals you have typed as ENTP that I believe are INTPs, similar types - BUT - my point here is that seeing Chuck P typed as ESTJ is a SHOCK. I've watched multiple interviews with him and he just does not come across as a Te hero at all, or an Outcome type, or Affiliative. How confident are you of that typing?
