Mam,, pistil of a flower can prevent germination and further post pollination events if pollen grain is of incompatible or wrong type,, then how desired hybrids can produce??
@NACBiology7 ай бұрын
Even though some plants reject their own pollen, breeders can still create desired hybrids by carefully choosing plants with different traits to cross-pollinate. This way, they ensure the plants mix their traits and produce new types with specific features.

Self-pollination occurs when pollen grains from the anther of a flower land on the stigma of the same flower or another flower on the same plant. In the case of Tulsi, the structure of the flower promotes self-pollination.

Mam out breeding devices can prevent only autogamy why not geitenogamy which is the genetically example fon self pollination
@NACBiology7 ай бұрын
Outbreeding devices, such as dioecy or dichogamy, prevent autogamy by physically separating male and female reproductive organs. However, geitonogamy (pollination between flowers of the same plant) can still occur because it involves transfer of pollen between different flowers on the same plant, not between organs of the same flower.

@NACBiology Жыл бұрын
It means, usually during cell division, first nucleus divides later cytoplasm get separate into two cells and cell wall formed between them ,so that finally two cells formed. But here nucleus keep dividing but immediately cell wall do not formed between each nucleus. Therefore it can not be considered as two cells.

What is archesporium? mam
@NACBiology7 ай бұрын
An archesporium is a group of cells in plants that gives rise to the primary cells involved in spore formation. It serves as the foundational source to spore-producing structures like sporangia or antheridia. For example, in ferns, the archesporium is a group of cells within the sporangium that undergoes division and differentiation to eventually produce spores through meiosis.

Mam what is mean by sporogenous tissu?
@NACBiology8 ай бұрын
it is a specialized tissue in plants responsible for the formation of spores through the process of sporogenesis. These tissues are found in sporophytes and undergo meiosis to produce haploid spores, which are crucial for sexual reproduction in plants. Examples include sporangia in ferns and anthers in flowering plants.

Mam,, out breeding devices can prevent only autogamy,, why not geitenogamy which is genetically a kind of self pollination
@NACBiology7 ай бұрын
Outbreeding devices prevent autogamy (self-pollination within the same flower) but not geitonogamy (transfer of pollen to a different flower on the same plant) because geitonogamy still involves the movement of pollen, even though it's genetically similar to self-pollination. These devices are designed to ensure genetic diversity by encouraging cross-pollination between different plants.

Mam, is pericarp equal to epicarp..? Or any main difference between epicarp n pericarp
@NACBiology5 ай бұрын
The pericarp and epicarp are related but not the same. Pericarp: This is the entire fruit wall that develops from the ovary wall after fertilization. It consists of three layers: the epicarp, mesocarp, and endocarp. Epicarp: This is the outermost layer of the pericarp. It's the skin or outer covering of the fruit. So, while the epicarp is a part of the pericarp, the pericarp includes all three layers (epicarp, mesocarp, and endocarp).

@NACBiology8 ай бұрын
Watch video, I have explained in detail
@NACBiology8 ай бұрын
Wind and water pollination are two methods plants use to transfer pollen for reproduction. In wind pollination, plants like grasses and many trees release lightweight pollen grains that are carried by the wind to reach other flowers. Examples include corn, wheat, and pine trees. In water pollination, plants like water lilies and eelgrass release pollen that floats on the water's surface, eventually reaching other flowers. An example is the water lily, which relies on water currents to transport its pollen to other flowers for fertilization.
