One thing I truly love about Latin culture is that Men ( straight men)grow up dancing their whole life (for the most part) ..Men in the west don't really dance or take girls/woman out dancing so much anymore ..I am not saying their are not men in the west that dance but it is may 2 out of 10 men that even know how to salsa,blango.lindy hop or swing dance and that is in the south where men still do couples dancing in the country and western bars .All you ladies out there we should start a revolution and make the fellas take us out dancing more ..LOL..all jokes aside I bet couple dancing is good for relationships ...good exercise most of all fun!!! Look how he does his thing yet showcases her especially with the promenades and such. And you can see he pulls her in for the real sexy grind and takes it just too the point where she is like babe really and then he pops out of it with a devilish little grin on his face and doesnt miss a beat. Check him out keeping her on her toes literally and maybe even dropping something new on her mid dance at the 56 second mark and you can see how she is almost overspun and he has to do more than a subtle lead to spin her back into his lead. That's when I really knew they were gonna be fun to watch. Great chemistry.....

Been on the salsa scene for years and yea i can throw down also but i must say this is the best unchoreographed salsa dancing i've seen in a while. Its always refreshing to see dancing from the heart and the feel of the music as opposed to the salsa socials i come across in NY where groups only dance with their groups and it all looks choreographed. Don't get me wrong it looks cool but nothing is more liberating than this and this video is a perfect example of that....keep dancing

Hey Erick, Just wanted to say thanks for being such an inspiration. I’m glad this video has reached so many views. It truly deserves it and probably much more. I remember this video from nearly 5 years ago when I was a beginner. Now I’m an advance dancer (at least people say I am) and teaching every now again. Watching this video reminds me how important this was to my learning. You probably don’t remember me but I asked you a question in this very same video a few years back about your style and timing etc, And How my question exploded with different debates from other people. Including yourself. It was like a kid getting acknowledged by his hero. Thank you for replying to a fan. Anyway back to the point; I just wanted to say the flavour you and your partner here have and what was fortunately videoed from this dance is priceless. And shows it cannot be replicated. I’ve seen a lot of dancers who I learned salsa with and a lot of them can do a lot of fancy, advanced moves, however they lack the flavour and its just not the same. I very feel lucky for watching your vids at an early stage of my dancing passion. This video shows that you do not need a lot of fancy moves to create magic. I’ve been to bachata, zouk, salsa, tango, Kizomba lessons and congresses and till this day video this amazes me. I have been told by many now that I am a really really good social dancer and been invited to compete and teach. And I always have a queue of people waiting to dance with me hehe (a bit cocky I know but it has given me a great deal of confidence especially after being an awkward day kid with low self esteem, so I’m not that sort of overly confident guy). Anyway I just wanted to let you know that it made me become a better person in some way and an amazing dancer with it and you had a great part in it. I watch this video every so often, it reminds me of old days when dancing at clubs was good and we'd dance vote hours like this. Not a dancer myself, in fact, I learned one dance 20 years ago and still use it (I'm 43 now). My step-dad is Mexican and when my mom and him first got together we spent a lot of time with his family and it seemed like they were all professional Salsa dancers. When people dance like this at festivals or parties, do they have a set routine or learn the different moves while someone leads much like when I play music and jam with my friends? Just amazing how fluid they are. Thanks for the upload!
