Seymour Duncan '78 Model vs. Custom (TB-5) with Music Man Silhouette

My recent build I went with a 78 set and I really am pleased with the clarity of the thinner strings. Very well balanced

The fact that they are both trembuckers puts both pickups in another category. I once had a JB Trembucker and after that noticed everything else has poor high E and low E output compared to the other 4 strings

I liked both. I think the Custom is darker and the '78 more trebly. @Wellenoptik, which one felt the best under the fingers?

Question - did you put the extra holes into the pickup frame or was this done by Seymour Duncan? I need to add these in either myself or get SD to do it.
