That's kind of the whole idea. They are copying the Moog vibe, which is clunky and has wood accents. It certainly sells great with the analog synth players. I have one, it is a really cool pedal. The tap is great.

Meh....when he started playing at 1:33 it sounds like its also a tone sucker! The tone of the echo repeats seemed to go dull.

mofongotron I knew that; its just that it sounds to dulled down for my tastes. But hey, to each their own! I prefer the digital delay.
